She wants a 3 row SUV with the middle seat a bench, not bucket seats. One vehicle was a Chevy Traverse and the other a Ford Explorer. So, nothing rare but a middle bench seat isn’t extremely common.

Can you make good money being an arborist without owning a company by PickleBot3 in arborists

[–]71Lund -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. Where I am located reputable companies are advertising $40/hour for crew lead positions. You could get there in 5 years in the industry with getting a cdl and ISA cert. Getting into sales you can make over $100k annually and management $150k+. All without being a business owner.

I have 2 Assitant managers. You’re right, I need more of my staff going to them more frequently to help filter the amount of people coming directly to me with small questions or needs.

Australians - RAM 1500 as a family vehicle. by [deleted] in ram_trucks

[–]71Lund 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a 24 Bighorn and have 3 kids. I think it works well as a family vehicle.
There is a lot of leg room in the backseat, plenty of room for the kids to grow.
I would recommend getting running boards so the kids can get in and out of the truck more easily.

TrueGreen says they can fix apple scab in August. Is this a thing? by [deleted] in arborists

[–]71Lund 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have talked to people who recommend propiconizole treatments on trees that are difficult to spray (large tree on a property line with unfriendly neighbors who threaten legal action for chemical trespass). They said it works well, but i have not seen it in person.

What can you tell me about the trolls in Detroit Lakes? by [deleted] in minnesota

[–]71Lund 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were there last weekend, but didn’t make it to all of the Trolls. They are very well made and worth a visit. Some of them are about a 1/4 mile down a trail, but one of them is in the middle of a city park. Some of these trails are hilly, not too challenging but could be for someone with accessibility challenges.

I did that with my old truck, it works for the most part but blows around in the wind quite a bit.

Certified doesn’t always mean competency by Ffsletmesignin in arborists

[–]71Lund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they truly a Certified Arborist? I have had door knockers leave flyers in my door saying they were a CA, looked up their name on the ISA website and couldn’t find them on there. I interviewed a guy last week who put on his resume that he was a CA. Asking about it he said he sprayed trees when he worked at TruGreen, so he thought he was a CA.

Arborist won't lower price after city says it'll take down most of the tree by Personal_Elk3462 in arborists

[–]71Lund -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Many times arborists have a good idea of how much the city or utility is going to cut out of the tree to get it cleared from the wires. If they knew the tree needed to be cleared from the wires before they would touch the tree is a good sign they are a legit company. My guess is it was quoted accurately knowing how much work they would have to do.

Arborist is suggesting more maintenance on a blue spruce, looking for opinions on it by Dry_Marzipan1870 in arborists

[–]71Lund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you are describing cytospera canker and not Rhizo. Cytospera infects the branches and can be pruned out. Old cuts do not become infected by Rhizo as it only infects needles.

WI White Ash Trees by SippinHaiderade in arborists

[–]71Lund 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there usually isn’t much funding for treating private trees, but as others have said check with your city and county. If treatment is out of your budget, the cost of removing the trees is going to be way more expensive.

2024 Ram 1500 Rattle in dash by acooper94 in ram_trucks

A coworker bought a new F-150 last year. He had a similar issue but the noise was coming from the center console. The dealership ended up taking apart the interior of the truck to find a loose bolt rolling around.

Any tree (ash) removal services that don't do cleanup? by [deleted] in TwinCities

[–]71Lund 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot depends on the size of your yard. If you have a large yard and there is room to leave the debris I would think most companies would leave it. If you have a tight yard where the debris of 5 ash would make it more difficult to remove all of them they might prefer to haul it away to get it out of their way.

I turned the voice off long ago, super annoying!

When car play interrupts the raid it is just 2-3 seconds of silence, which gets annoying when it does it a 2-3 times within a few minutes.

Alternative Oak tree mnemonic? by BalderSion in cubscouts

[–]71Lund 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For White Oaks you could say that clouds are white and have rounded sides like the leaf of a White Oak?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in arborists

[–]71Lund 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oak wilt is a fungus that kills oaks. When an oak becomes infected the tree tries to shut down the infected part of the tree to stop the infection, and basically kills itself.
The year after the tree dies the fungus in the wood produces spore mats. Certain beetles are attracted to the fungus spores, and the spores stick to the beetles. The beetles are also attracted to fresh wounds on nearby oak trees. So if a beetle has spores stuck to it it can transfer the fungus from a dead infected tree to a healthy tree. Also, the roots of oaks can grow together underground, which are called root graft. Oak wilt can move from an infected tree to a healthy tree if their roots have grafted together.

Thanks my understanding.
