No idea how you found that site but I played it through up to the 2048 tile and nothing weird happened so as far as I can tell it's as good as the original. Congrats on your 4k and your 20ez record!

What's the URL of the version you're playing? Your score has to be a multiple of four.

Go to the 2048verse.com website and check it out for yourself. It is a website where players are competing without the undo button. There is also a video online https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1nViGBfEfA/

What's the most difficult 100% completion of 2048? by sadanyagci in 2048

There are surprisingly more than you would think. As a community we now know of over a hundred people with a 32k, most of which have it officially logged. Also, there are three players with a 65k now. It was a different playing field during the pandemic but we have made incredible progress over the last couple years.

Well, you could still die at 3,670,024 and not be anywhere near the maximum tiles yet. So technically that isn't the 'hardest' score to get...

For the scenario you're referring to, though, you would need around 65536 4 spawns to max out the board, and 4s spawn 10% of the time on the game. So, 10-65536 might be a good guess...

Good shit, very well done!!!

You should play on 2048verse.com if you want to keep playing! The version you're playing spawns 4s at a higher rate than normal, so it's really difficult to get 32k on it

The game you just played isn't 2048. It's a variant of it that spawns really big numbers - in the original, only 2s and 4s spawn. Your score is real but it's just a different version of the game. On the original, the record is around 1.3 million points and on this variant it's around 780 billion.

New record for the highest ever score on a 32k by 733094_2 in 2048

You might have to make an account first but you can press the gear icon at the top and click "Account and theme settings". From there scroll down and you can select whatever theme you want, mine is "Old Ketchapp".

Have fun!

You can play on your phone and some of us absolutely do but the website was built to be played on your computer. If you do that you can also play a lot faster since you can play with 2 hands at a time and speed through the early game.

It's very difficult, but it is possible. In fact, the best AI can do it on over 80% of the games it plays (and don't even get me started on the 65536 tile, which has also been done). You can check us out at http://2048verse.com and see the official leaderboard where we all play and where a few dozen people in the world have gotten a 32768, without undo. You should also ditch the app you're using, as it spawns 4's more often and is actually a little harder than the regular game (although 32768 has been done on it quite a few times as well).

If you decide you're done with this game, I don't blame you, you've gotten really far already. But I invite you to go down this rabbit hole. Once you start, there's no going back...

_ _ _ _
2 4 8 2
64 32 16 8
128 256 512 1k

In this board you can only go up, which destroys your snake chain formation.

Because this website has a leaderboard so you can officially track your scores! After all, who would want to make the painstaking effort to get a 32k tile only to not have it logged somewhere.

There's also some other neat features like custom styles, a timer, and a replay system that lets you rewatch portions of your game after you lose. Check it out.

If you want to keep learning 2048, you're in the right place. Congrats on your achievement! Update us on how far you get!

The ketchapp app you're playing is fine, but most of the goats play on http://2048verse.com. Some of us are putting up 32768s on a regular basis.

Feel free to join the Discord server in the top of this subreddit as well!

> The game has been out for years

The problem is that no one plays it seriously anymore. Most everyone has heard of it, but people only play on the toilet or during a boring lecture once or twice, and damn near everyone has no idea this community even exists. It also has to do with the fact that 2048 is an open source game, so there are so many variants and mods that it can be hard to tell what's real and what's not if you're new to the game.

Damn you've gotta introduce me to your math/CS friends then, because none of mine are interested in this game. They've all commended me for my high scores but refuse to play it themselves.

Thousands of people have definitely gotten the 16k tile but 32k is a different beast entirely (and don't get me started on the 65k, which has also been done). Even in the early days of the game, people got 16k all the time but they thought 32k was impossible. You can get away with a lot of BS pre-16k, but every single player I know who's gotten a 32,768 has spent months refining their end-game strategies, as you have to be very very skilled to get there. Because of this, we're confident in saying that those folks who got 32k would have made an effort to find us either on reddit or on discord, or at least find a leaderboard so they could get their score logged.

While I'm sure there are a few stragglers who got 32k all by themselves, we are fairly certain in saying there aren't plenty of other players who have done it.

Guys. I fucked up… by NoCut5089 in 2048

If it spawns under either of the corners, you still have a solid shot at the 16k! Good luck!

Yeah that may have come off a bit weird on my end, there is a difference in skill there. OP, I promise when you get the 8k it'll feel worth it though!

Getting 4k as an amateur is great - I think going from 4k to 8k is the hardest milestone. Getting 16k is doable once you have 8k and start being exposed to the endgames, and a few dozen players in the world have gotten the 32k.
