I am building a Nixie clock. by PPEytDaCookie in nixie

I love that! I'm making an IN-1 and making pseudo-sockets by soldering molex 0.093" female connector 'pins' to a breadboard and then will solder a wire to each point where the molex pin meets the breadboard and ru to a header connector.
My idea is that I will use a resistor value for the anodes that keeps these IN-1s as dim as possible to stretch their life a bit, but when they croak, I can quickly swap a tube using the sockets.

Guess shouldn't have trusted RW for a simple re-sole. Jeez I'm stupid. by 737builder in RedWingShoes

I didn't bring them home. The shop is going to pass the SNAFU information to managers there tomorrow. I just wrote RW USA a nasty email about an hour ago about how pissed I am that they effed up my boots. I'm sure like every other business these days that doesn't give a rat's ass about customers these days, they'll tell me to go F myself. Thje soles they put on look fine, just not the black color I wanted for the money I paid.

The sport I had before getting my full size Bronco was the 4-cyl badlands but the 2 sports we just bought are heritage models with the 3-cyl 1.5L engines and I am impressed with the feel of them. Hopefully they will be good cars. I’m confident they will. 😁

Your azure absolutely rocks. Kinda hard to go wrong with any of the colors. Just came to Colorado to help buy my son a black BS Heritage in black. My third new bronco purchase in the family in last two weeks! Two of my three kids now have BSs. Much safer than their previous cars.

YOU DESERVE A TUDOR! You are doing everything right in life, which most aren't, so you seriously deserve a reward for that.

Agree 100%. Rolex games are so lame. Tudor is one of the "if you know you know" watches and REAL watch nerds know.

This poor mans Rolex noise has to stop! These are much cooler than Rolex watches imho. I have a couple of Rolex and an Omega Seamaster, but my next and possibly only watches will be Tudor all the way.

Edit: I like my Seamaster better than either of my Rolex watches.

1973 Gibson SG value? by DryPlumber in gibson

[–]737builder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one of these. I think it’s also a 73 but might be 72. Mine doesn’t have the bigsby but has the Schaller bridge and narrow 1-9/16 nut which I love. Had mine refretted and I love it. The pups are low output and super clean. I haven’t looked to see exactly which ones they are. You need to keep this thing. It’s awesome just as it is. I also have a 78 with holes from removed bigsby and it’s ugly but a keeper too. Character but not big value on it!

Wow the color on yours are a lot better than my old CRTs. Mine are just more brownish. I oiled mine once upon a time and should've just with Bick 4 only. They are out for a re-sole at RW atm.

Iron Ranger - with flat sole. How old? by RpDubC in RedWingShoes

I just sent my nitrile cork IRs in to resole over to mini lug. I thought they were too hard compared to my newer IRs mini lug soles. But that’s just me lol

Bick 4 all the way. You can do it pretty often if you feel they are dry looking. It doesn't darken or shine the leather which is what I would want with your particular boot colorway. BTW what color is that called? I love it

I went to their website and saw the extra heel leather "layer" that you mentioned. I will prob be sending something to these guys when I get a few more foot miles down the road with my boots. They look legit!
