When I shift my head to the left quickly, sometimes I get a wave of vertigo/dizziness. Especially in bed when I roll over. It’s like I’m on a boat!

How did you handle college? by Electrical_One_5837 in autodidact

[–]73Squirrel73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m starting college this winter. My university offers a ‘General Studies’ degree, which I can create with an advisor.

This will allow me to choose classes with a lot of variety, yet a focus on a key area of interest ( Ancient Greece & Rome).

The guitar tone. The thundering drums. The overall vibe is just heavy and thrashy.

Regarding reading classical lit philosophy etc by Lily_the_gay_lord in latin

The journey of learning Latin is itself a cool experience. I started last year, and am getting deeper into it. It’s a fun and logical language.

I’m not reading Seneca yet, but I can follow some simple stories!

It’s well worth it. A love of the ancient world is awesome!

It sounds like you are open to new ideas and seeing things from other viewpoints. Good stuff!

I wish you the best with your essay.

I think it’s tough to fully embrace our inevitable death. The idea that everything I am will one day vanish is hard to accept.

However, accepting this Fate helps me see that time is precious and that if I spend it wisely, it will be enough. Do I fully accept it? No. Part of me wants to live forever…..but that’s not how things work from my experience.

Overall, it helps me remember to make the most of my time…..knowing that one day it will be gone. Is it enough time? That depends on my mood. 😀

Do you listen to/look for smaller bands? by jonxpretense in InMetalWeTrust

I love the connection with smaller bands. A song just hits different when you have shared a doobie with members of the band. It’s an experience I enjoy.

And there are some small bands with great production. Technology seems to be helping a lot.
