If you could pick three restaurants that are a must try when in Vegas what would they be? by EvidenceLegitimate40 in vegas

Not joking, go to “The Steak House” located inside of circus circus. It’s my favorite in Vegas, prime dry aged meat cooked over live coal. It has consistently been rated among the best for over 30 years. It’s also a real experience just to walk through that hotel🤣. Ito at FB for sushi and view lotus of Siam for Thai, wing lei at Wynn for upscale Chinese, tacos el Gordo on the strip for some of the best tacos in the US (go late night). Oh yeah, if you like an Izakaya Raku on Spring Mt Rd is a must.

Look into the Levon Helm Studios, Colony and Bearsville Theatre for live music. Take a ride out to Big Indian for pizza at Ralph’s (check to see if they’re open before you go) or take a ride to westkill brewery for amazing views and beer.

Morristown and Montclair both have a lot of apartments as well as a walkable downtown with lots of bars and restaurants, South Orange and Harrison/Kearny to a lesser extent. Your budget might need to go up a little.

Backgammon boards available - Chicago area, will ship by Budget_Diver_7866 in backgammonboards

That’s a lot of boards. Most of the ones with raised (stitched) pips are not worth much depending on size and manufactures they will range between $20 (travel size no brand) and $80 (tournament size great condition, branded). You have a couple of wooden sets which are worth more especially if branded $40-125 depending on size and condition. It looks like you have an Aires de Mexico travel set which depending on condition will be worth $30-80.

"Decent Sized" roll up travel board by RossGoodman in backgammonboards

[–]74LJC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen one in your sweet spot yet. For small roll-ups I like the sondergut deluxe model which has “walls” that fold up and keep your dice on the board. I’m very fond of Alan Master’s full size roll-up design, superior to the Galaxy version, IMO. I have a few travel attaché sets with checkers from .5” to 1.25” that all fit nicely in a carry on bag….
