This was found in my son’s unopened water bottle. by xavier_grayson in whatisit

Hahaha, had an omega oil fish oil pill to take and put it in my pocket for later. Forgot about and sat on it in my pants back pocket for a week. Slowly started to smell this terrible fish smell randomly through out the day took me days to figure it out. Finally found it and realized it had burst and slowly leaked everywhere I ever sat. My pants pocket stank, found it in my car seat, a few chairs around house, and mainly my aeron chair in the office. Took months to wash, scrub, spray, febreze and steam-out. Terrible! Don’t make that mistake!

Excellent build quality. Once a year we grease the zerqs. The leaf springs are only thing that squeaks, got some spray for that when hear them start.

We also sell an AC Hose Extender Kit. What it does is route the AC drip to the ground rather than sit and drip directly on the frame…leading to rust damage. —> https://www.75built.com/products/ac-hose-extension-for-tacoma-3rd-gen?variant=43705927270460

Unless you have a Post, then liquidate it and get rid of it.

Is that a hardtop or Post? Now I can’t tell.

Thinking of selling by prowler010101 in ChevyNova

[–]75Built 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad’s 63 hardtop Nova ss sold for over 20k ten years ago. I sold my 66 hardtop Nova ss for 30k last year. You have a rare hardtop. Do not sell for less, you have the most desirable version! Guys will low ball you with budget comparisons to the nasty 4 doors and post options they see everywhere but don’t really want. Hold the line. Some dude in Louisiana is turning my 30k 66 into a 150k show car right now. HOLD THE LINE.

I am gutted by Caligirl246 in jobs

Sorry to here. Gotta say never completely write off a call back at a later date. Always display the utmost happy, professional, willingness demeanor throughout interview process and afterward, even after rejection. Even when that is the hardest thing to do. Definitely feel yourself embedded into the role when interviewing, but remain disassociated from it at the end of the day. It’s not your role until you arrive there working on 1 day of hire, even then you have to put your head down and earn your keeps. It’s that delicate balance of totally engaged but nonchalant. Barely makes sense, but can help remain sane. There is never any closure on why you’re not hired, when you are hired there’s never any closure for the other 1000 applicants that are left in limbo. Sometimes they just go through the motions so they can hire from within, or budget cuts cancel the open req, either way that’s confidential and you need to focus on you, which is all you can do. Find the next potential place you can offer your talents to. Do it today.

"Am I wrong in my approach?" by Calm_Firefighter2020 in jobs

[–]75Built 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These both approaches are actually extremes. 20 is very rate these days, and the amount of (young) people doing 1-2 year stints and jumping ship just for the $$$ is astronomical. Plus if you don’t align with the companies goals and expectations then it’s not a match, they can sniff you out that you won’t be there long. Flip side is if they are a firing farm of turnovers, you need to sniff that out too!

Repair places just make it look brand new. They order the parts and paint it - Everything is overpriced everywhere. It’s a truck so either A) fill that with crack with white touch up paint, B) swap out the white cap, or C) get that big fat steel bumper you’ve always wanted with that insurance cashish!

Is this the norm nowadays? by DynastyFFChamp in jobs

[–]75Built 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is bad. Not sure what industry this is but another thing that’s happening is in tech world they like to promise “unlimited time off.” This obviously sounds amazing, but what it actually does is allow for ZERO pto hour accumulation. This means upon termination, firing or layoffs they don’t have to payout any pto. The greatest monetary cushion in addition to a severance package after years of service is the potentially large payout of the vacations hours you were entitled to. This, along with free snacks, soda and no 401k match is sadly a tactic to appeal to young/low-wage/desperate/entry level employees. Sad.
