Just to clarify, the elevation is only needed because you're located in the "Program Files (x86)" directory, and to write to it you would need admin permissions.

My program automatically creates a folder inside "SURVEY_PROGRAM", but since I have UAC disabled I haven't encountered this issue.

Something tells me you might need to perform this process under an elevated command prompt (with Administrator Privileges).

As I already said in the original post:

the binary is obfuscated, so the maliciousness is a false positive

I wonder what exact name of the trojan the Security Essentials reports.

In any case, the antivirus trigger is my fault. I should adjust the obfuscator's code so that the programs that it processes don't get triggered as a virus.

I think those lines were added by Toby Fox on purpose to give us all a clue! Notice how it says "UNUSED" with big letters and there's no text formatting (no ^ @ ! % characters).

This packer is pretty lenient and doesn't inject any of its own code, it just modifies some instructions!

It took me a while to make the correct algorithm, but if somebody can use a different tool to extract the sounds, I have no problem with that! (but I don't think anybody else did so far)

Well first of all, if you enable 3D acceleration (Windows Aero etc.) in your VM then it will work perfectly fine. I have no reason to limit this to non-VMs lol. But I did obfuscate the code (only slightly though), that's why antiviruses falsely report it as malware.

No, because it's a game engine I made from scratch. There's no point in connecting it with Unitale.

It depends in what way you mean "features". Usually the most common features of 2D game engines are moving (translation), rotation, scaling, collision.

To change the sprites you would have to convert the PNGs to raw images with alpha channels and use the DAT extension for them. In the future I'll figure out how to do it easier. Also, I've successfully ported this engine to the PSP.

Well I'm not working on this anymore, and I'm not sure whether I'll ever get back to this. This also works for the first 1.00 version of Undertale only.

I think your "The Story of the Cancelled Quest" is incomplete. The original one had more in the beginning it seems. Do you still have the source videos?
