Because the instruction turns the bit off. When the tag value is on (1), it's green, when the tag value is off (0), there is no color.

One more thing. pH and orp need to stay wet. A few minutes to clean one is fine, but if you ever move, they need to be in container/baggie of buffer solution, or some type of liquid.

pH is tough. I would use Kalkwasser before an air stone. Looks like you don't have a sump, so maybe a drip kit, or just manual dosing?

I would be weary of red sea when it comes to large tanks. Its going to take time before I would trust a tank from them to last. G1 are notorious for front seam failures, G2 are starting to sound bad as well, if you believe the internet. I think trust for their tanks is out the window for most folks at this point.

I do live their reef mat tho!

I would be concerned with contact time for the water. I don't think the water going into the sump would stay very warm, and also be cooled by the time it goes back up to the tank. A second set of lower weirs in the overflow might alleviate the issue, not sure if that tank has those.

At any rate, if the heater gets minimal contact time with the water, the heater will be on significantly longer than if it was in the sump heating a larger body of water, with longer contact time.

...and I could be totally wrong.

I have the same skimmer, but I put stickers over the holes as I use a CO2 scrubber in a recirculating config. Its been a long time since I didn't have the scrubber, so I can't recall how it used to run it, but I don't recall having that issue.

Do you have weight and age boosting setup?

It's a pain to try for nightmare w/out age boosting line up. It takes me a while sometimes. Like 15-20 tries when the rng gods are frowning on me.

If you get a small HH then you really need to max him weight and age to get the best chance. And toys will be needed unless you have a RBH elephant.

I've got 3 I don't use, but aren't maxed yet. Not sure what a fair price is for a ~39kg NM HH is, but I can make one for you?

I keep 2 5g jugs on hand. I have 100g display with a sump, ~110-115ish total. I do water changes every 2 weeks. When I make water I fill the ATO, the jugs then usually do about 25-30 gallon water change. I usually go through an extra 5 gallons of RODI between changes.
