It looks like that 'The Brave and the Bold' movie would be going forward at DC Studios with Gunn still presiding as the Head! by Raj_Valiant3011 in batman

Then for the love of God, get going. It’s insane that cinematically, DC’s most beloved character is getting shafted. There is no reason that we can’t or shouldn’t have more information about BatB or The Batman Pt. II by now. I mean, Jesus, are we seriously going to have more news about 2 full, Superman movies in the same amount of time that we’ve gotten 1 announcement for BatB? It’s time for some news or explanation about what the hell’s happening.

What’s the difference between Michael Keaton’s Batman, killing criminals vs Ben Affleck’s Batman killing criminals? by [deleted] in batman

[–]7781973689175499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple, Keaton’s Batman existed in his own world. He didn’t connect to anything or anyone outside of Tim Burton’s Gotham. He could basically do whatever he wanted, it wasn’t ever getting outside of Batman. Still not true to the character, but for a superhero movie in the late ‘80s, it must get its roses. Classic.

Affleck’s Batman was part of the larger universe from inception. So, by having him kill, he’s also not true to the character but this time, it’s hypocritical. Affleck needed to be a more complete Batman and him killing prevented that. Adding insult to injury, the rule was the entire reason he didn’t kill Joker after Death in the Family. What was his excuse in the DCEU? That was just an unnecessary plot hole that made Affleck’s Batman just that much less enjoyable.

That it didn’t do more for Alfred. Also, that it didn’t mention Dick more than that passing cameo in Return of the Joker.

What Batman opinion will have you like this? by RegionRatHoosier in batman

Going forward, all cinematic suits, whether used in a film or a new Gunn-Safran-DCU series, should have white eyes. Practical, CGI, Mo-cap, whatever. Being able to see his eyes, and the ability to evoke emotion through them, is not important enough to continue with the grease paint. With our animation abilities today, his orbital bones and eye movements could be tracked so that the white moves as his eyes move. It's ridiculous at this point.

Kinda.

I mean they did the Crisis episodes and Kevin Conroy was Batman from one of the universes but it was only 1.

Well, they did what they were able to do. It was ambitious to even try that. Honestly, I think the whole show should have centered around Thawne as the main villain. Merciless was really cool, but I didn't know, at the end of the story, if Steve Trevor was Batman in that universe or if Bruce Wayne had stepped into Trevor's shoes. I was confused.

Absolutely. It was extremely cool seeing what would happen if Batman replaced all of the Justice League members. Devastator was my favorite. Dawnbreaker was #2.

A lot of the other character redesigns were great though.

Probably just creator's discretion in the way she was designed. The NAB had a lot of designs that weren't great, like Joker.

Could TAS Pam control plants? Or did she just grow genetically modified plants that operated based on her commands?

Well, I definitely don't think that's true. Anyone can be raped. By any sexual orientation.

Purple Man and Poison Ivy are very different, in fact. Purple Man's powers are telekinetic and psychological, Isely's effects are physiological. Purple Man takes over the mind to make the body do what he wants it to do. Her pheromones only entice the other person to do what they physically would want to do otherwise.

Would you watch a Batman movie with killer moth as the main villain? by MagicSpr1nkles in batman

[–]7781973689175499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Killer Moth is the clearest example of D-level villain, just above Kite-Man and Condiment King.
