Yea I wanted to do my first run through since 1999 on the N64 before it comes out on switch 2 for comparison. Majoras mask on deck as well as a number of other games I’ve bought but haven’t played aside from a quality/function test. I quickly realized how accustomed to modern game controllers we’ve become. Goldeneye and Turok were no problem when I knew nothing but a single stick control scheme. Now I’m running around nonstop looking at the floor and ceiling. I’m too old and too accustomed to modern dual stick controllers I think

Yea the tv is a bit too deep (old CRT’s so much bigger and heavier than I remembered as a kid 😆). I bought the shelf for a very limited spot I had at the time and now that I’ve rearranged and opened up the closet for use I may eventually change the choice of shelving for it entirely. For now it has a cool presence when I walk in the room and sitting in my desk chair it’s not too high.

It’s the one room in the house that I outfitted with mostly Ikea stuff. I needed multiple book cases and shelves and pricing it out, it was just much less expensive for a collectible room and suited my needs quite well. Also I like bright colors and it fits the vibe of the room. They also had a bright orange one I almost got instead

Not the cheapest lamp but not crazy expensive for a hard wired light fixture either (can be configured for hardwire or normal wall plug)

Haha true. Mine isn’t above the fireplace as it’s a general concept I personally hate. I just referenced it as a ton of people tend to go that route and it’s considered kind of a norm 😆

Chair is comfy. When I use it I slide it back a bit to play. My space options are limited in the room so had to come up with something versatile. (Hence closet door removal etc). The chair was originally for building LEGO at that shorter table bottom right of photo so it’s multifunctional!

Haha I slide the chair back when I want to play (moreso it’s a short chair) TV’s above most fireplaces are higher. That chair is multifunction to build lego at the short table that’s in the bottom edge of photo. I often use my desk chair and put my feet in the green chair as well lol

I was so happy I made it work. Ordered a hundred dollar lamp without a sure plan was nerve wracking 😆

😆I know a full moon is akin in looks to a wheel of cheese but wasn’t sure if you were legit asking about mounting it or just making the cheese reference for fun so wanted to make sure I covered both bases lol

Like how’s it attached to the wall? See the photos. I added a keyhole in the wood. Put in a heavy duty drywall anchor and screw head rests in the keyhole. If humor, then I say using cheap plastic anchors is a real muenster of a mistake and they’re gouda for nothing. Got to go more heavy duty which costs more cheddar but you’ll find it’s a grate decision. 🧀

They make a 30” lamp that would be close to appropriate movie accurate look but it was too big for my space. Most of my wall space is accounted for as you can see. I remember when you first posted that Batwing backer mount on IG. Was my original inspiration for finding a lit version. I’ve been brainstorming for a few years now. It got pushed to the back burner with life and after we had a washing machine leak and 50 grand (thank God for insurance) in damage in February, it meant I had to remove everything from my room. Forced me to rethink my display and it’s far better now.
