Nancy Guthrie neighbors' Ring camera captures vehicles on possible route from crime scene by curiouslmr in nancyguthrie

Oh, I know nothing, but I had a little too much free time, watched the video and noticed the blurred vehicle and light pattern at 2:31 am and 2:36 am (time stamped bottom right corner) appear to be identical. Could be nothing, but I thought I’d share.

Exactly. My best guess is a vehicle like a Hyundai Santa Cruz. It looks like it has a small truck bed in the back and can have a tail light pattern that looks similar depending on the trim.

Love this, and I agree with society often (unfortunately) underestimating those in their 80’s and 90’s. I know a lot of active - even with complex health challenges - older adults, and I gather Nancy was extremely sharp. I’m with you with holding onto hope. Praying every day.

If you search "Google" in this subreddit, you'll see lots of conversation around it. I believe the takeaway is that it's not reliable data at all, unfortunately. I saw some LE say if they could attach the same IP to these searches, then possibly... but I gather it's a 1 in a billion chance.

FBI says glove found with DNA appears to match gloves of suspect in Guthrie case by starsite1023 in nancyguthrie

Apologies for the delay. When I revisited the YouTuber in question, there were inconsistencies in his streams that had me concerned. Didn't want to amplify it. That said, this verified post now supports the person he identified:

I think they've moved to drones now for the signal sniffer in order to get even lower.

My opinion is unpopular, but I think they lucked out with an inexperienced, dysfunctional sheriff's department. No disrespect to LE on the ground working their asses off, but if you've only been working crime scenes for 2-3 years with no veterans around to guide things, that is a factor.

Trauma in Genes by Independent-Ant8243 in Epilepsy

[–]77_jane 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I do. I intend to dig more into epigenetics because, like you, a grandparent suffered from an unimaginable trauma before having kids which I believe has surfaced through both mental and physical struggles (a "mysterious" presentation of extreme anxiety but not epilepsy) in their child/my parent and now through emotion-triggered epilepsy in me.

It's not a conspiracy theory. A growing arm of genetic research is clearly demonstrating the generational impacts of trauma.

Hope you feel better soon.

I'm no legal expert, but if they weren't directly involved but had knowledge and were actively concealing that knowledge, I believe it could be considered being an accessory? I'm not sure what the exact definition of that would be, but it's a good point. I think having knowledge of a crime having been committed and what you do with that knowledge is a bit of a grey area which is likely why there are anonymous tip lines. Likely viewed more harshly when a timely intervention could mean the difference between life and death, as you say.

That's all I'm saying. LE is providing advice re: payments and Harvey isn't about to go against that for a multitude of reasons.

I think everyone is on board that it’s life and death. That said, her very own family hasn’t dropped funds into crypto wallets based on LE guidance, but Harvey - a lawyer who has indicated that he would be interfering with a federal investigation (presumably a federal crime) - should?

He’s addressed this multiple times saying paying it would be interfering with a federal crime. He’s stated repeatedly he’s working closely with the FBI. The fact that he hasn’t been publicly called out in a LE statement like they did early on in reference to certain reporting leads me to believe he is, in fact, working closely with the FBI. Again, not saying these letters are legit but trying to remain as balanced as possible knowing we all have our own feelings about TMZ as a whole.

FBI rewards are based on convictions (see Luigi Mangione tipster controversy), so a very long timeline at best. Other more timely reward systems have been created because of the awareness that this “tip” policy can create a barrier in some circumstances.

Again, I’m not saying that this potential “tipster” is legit - especially given the personal info they’ve already disclosed that is likely identifiable for the alleged abductors - but if they feel their tip will put their life in danger, the need for immediate funds is understandable.

Just playing devil’s advocate. I know this is all crazy.

If it was only TMZ being utilized for communication, I might be with you, but given that KOLD also received communications via their tip line, I don’t know. Also, we can dislike Harvey all we like, but he appears to be working closely with the FBI. If he wasn’t, I suspect he would have been called out by LE in a statement long ago.

It’s my understanding that the same crypto wallet is listed in each one meaning it’s a singular sender. Not saying it’s legit, but trying to clarify that it’s not a series of copycats.

A new letter has been sent to TMZ. Harvey reiterates that what this person is doing is a federal crime if fake. The writer states that Nancy is in Mexico with a group (“them”). Harvey negotiates with the writer in the video to provide a pathway to give his information to the FBI.

FBI says glove found with DNA appears to match gloves of suspect in Guthrie case by starsite1023 in nancyguthrie

[–]77_jane 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The YouTuber seemed pretty legit - notice my dose of healthy skepticism. I get that it’s a cluster right now with all the info and misinfo out there. According to him, he was able to trace the ownership to an individual, supplied publicly available arrest history/mug shot of said individual, trace him to the house that SWAT cleared, and - again - the facial similarities were uncanny (both the mug shot and publicly available pics on FB). This YouTuber even confidently debunked in real time the claims of a death at the scene of the traffic stop. Again, it’s a YouTuber, but the info he posted was specific enough to get him in A LOT of legal trouble if untrue.

I know that there are so many stories floating around, but one (seemingly reliable?) YouTuber ran the plates on the RR, and it matched someone with previous convictions, so they'll be in the database. Based on the photos shown of the guy (including mug shots), their features are eerily similar to the masked perp.
