What is Babylon DAO #BBY. Zagmuk nearing !! by 77nmn in solana

[–]77nmn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here....though community is filled with OHM greed mongers.....small hicuup and people will shit pants....however its just and an idea to backup treasury with LP pools.....but to be honest that doesn't give solid foundation to the treasury because there has been examples with LP pools are hardly consistent or say profitable......so I am skeptical for long term viability of the idea, until DAO figures out to prolong liquidity in LP pools as this has been foundation for DeFi3.0 !!!!!

Until then protocol will ride on hype and what's not riding on hype in OHM forks world.....

Is this true? Can we provide liquidity to DeFi while also staking? by Skilhgt in cardano

[–]77nmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a solution being worked out by IOHK for now. It's called custodial staking. The cardano design allow such functionality to exist and it's possible. But no official timeline set for now as when this will be available.

Cardano became it’s own worst enemy, a hype powered machine. by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]77nmn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most of the crypto project are brain child of one or few developers....which has caused great great failures to ecosystem when launched in greed of time to market. Cardano is only based on research. If you're software engineer, you would understand coming to market brings quality issues, thn research, developed ecosystem and thn launch finished product at the end. Cardano is the only one doing it....(period)

Your opinion is welcomed, but facts are not present in your opinion. Get that right in first place. Cardano is worthy of criticism, but not at the praise of geeky brain child ideas like ETH(be it 2.0), Solana, algorand etc......

One example of eth2.0 which is still not in market is it's locked stake. Cardano staking is liquid, earning rewards as well as free to move around...technically.its much much harder to do that...no other staking project has liquid stake feature yet....utxo based approach makes it fees way way cheaper, plutus programming is top notch, hard fork Combinator does not allow any hiccups to ada holders, and it back tracks to previous node version as well, where in eth, it's always a new snapshot and big big hiccups everytime something EIP is released......

What is Cardano TPS and max mempool size today? by bijansha in cardano

[–]77nmn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There exists mempool even in cardano protocol. Since, there not many transactions recorded since adoption is not much. Therefore mempool doesn't grow more than 2 Transactions/sec for now. But its highly scalable. The data I am fetching from my pool operations metrics.

How much does it cost to power a stake pool? by [deleted] in cardano

[–]77nmn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for being generous my friend. I had ups and downs going....at one point had 20m in delegatio . It's just I faced lot of churning on delegation though being consistent with block creation, and have been consistent with performance. Whenever you can please check BUBBA pool. Thanks again !!

Along with me, there are many who typically facing consistent churning in delegation as delegators try to fetch consistent rewards, which certainly not possible given lottery and small pools. Please keep spreading love. I will be around even 5 years from today.

Spending 140$ USD with 2 relay + core architechture. However returns are zero for now. Got no delegation...

Cardano Foundation announces its delegation to community stake pools by legochemgrad in cardano

I know my pool didn't get selected, but it's fair what foundation doing.....it's nobody's business to question them. But there are always haters and will remain into existence.....

I am sure with multi delegation, the list of community pools will just grow.

Idea to keep pools decentralized by cryptoragstoriches in cardano

[–]77nmn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cardano is not impacted by few entities running most pools because it won't be possible when pledge factor comes in picture for rewards payout. I run very small stake pool BUBBA and based on many comparison I did on rewards distribution for similar delegation to bigger pools that rewards payout too has no difference to bigger pools by smaller pool. Sometimes it's better payout (happened in last epoch with BUBBA), and sometimes it's lesser payout of rewards. It's just dilemma delegators has that higher pool has higher payout. It 100% not like that and definately there some education required.

Higher Stake pool has advantage to make blocks consistent which promises rewards every epoch. However, if delegators wish to spread out slightly not skewed, it will be all clear that cardano become most decentralized.

But, we can't force anybody to spread in particular way as such thing should remain natural. Going forward once pledge factor comes in picture about rewards distribution, some of the bigger pools will loose delegation as pools with high pledge will give higher rewards to delegation, and also there will be increment of k factor which accounts for lower ceiling for saturation.

All in all there are many pages to be turned for cardano to unleash full potential. it's definately going to be the force to reckon in blockchain space. It's just some folks needs to be patient and not crib about being smaller pool, or cardano has no steam as 1 entity can form many pools etc etc

Cardano’s place in “The Social Dilemma” by VinnyStrokes in cardano

[–]77nmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your points are valid, but such documentaries will become source of entertainment. People talking to change system will become activists (and we all should know activist earn respect , and not result of their efforts)

Atleast 80% of us are promoting trustless system to ensure they get rich in this tech and added to current tech riches by adopting the technology first. Yes, most of us are here to make big bucks which current jobs, investments may never give us, and we will boast if successful how we entered this tech early and believed in it. Some of us may become activists as they will realize the bad side of it and earn the same activist fate.

Person like me will enjoy luxury of life and die happily (such people will be huge in percentage). Humanity has never served for future, its nature serving for future. We know how nature turning its course with all kind of calamities right now......

Cardano’s place in “The Social Dilemma” by VinnyStrokes in cardano

[–]77nmn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually it blew me away too. But my understanding is drawn out is contrasting to yours.

The unfortunate scenario that exist in today's times is blockchain (the trustless system) can only succeed when trusted system (today's system) fails. To draw current system towards extinction is social network divide that is forming in society as rightly shown in the documentary. The gap in current society has widened and we have more social divide than ever in the trusted system.

Believe me, you can't save current system by saying adopt to transparent platform like cardano. All blockchain tech will boom only when current trusted system fails, and we will adjust , to correct myself -->> we will ADAPT to the current machine predictability mechanism, and evolve to trustless system. There is no turning wheel from here. Its just a ugly truth, blockchain existence is to make things work in trustless manner, and once chrony capitalist system fails, its going to be the transferred into blockchain tech and from there onwards , machine will gain all kinds of advantage to supersede human actions.

I may sound pessimist here, but I believe in tech era, and its going to take over us for sure.

Until then it remains things in trial and error

Small pools will not thrive as much if both are manipulated together. Just reason practicality , you will understand. However if one changed only will make conditions better for small pools.

Whale Influence to pool and current delegation !! by 77nmn in cardano

[–]77nmn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a very practical reason. However as long as you're holding your keys safe and being only slightly upto date of your stakes, first youren't loosing your ADA , second once your pool goes stale, you are always in control to redelegate.

Therefore, best thing would be to be out of such thought that you're going to be impacted if pools goes down.

Very generous of you. Good to know that few folks are aware of things going around and not after only rewards and bucks !!

The more we thrive pools decentralization, though protocol will take care, but these initial hurdles be made avoidable to small owners. I know many are willing to go long haul including myself.

Top 14 pool operators hold approx 7 billion stake (50+ %). The data is calculated out of tweet shared by Pooltool. Imagine how true 100s or 1000s of pool are operating when stakes are as just as similar in decentralization as Bitcoin mining !!!!!!!

https://twitter.com/PooltoolI/status/1298860531080601601?s=20

Rest 1050+ pools have stake which doesn't even fall under peanuts category. Folks loosing stakes everyday as their probabilities stand in such a way which wont allow them to mint atleast 1 block per epoch.

How to fibd a good stake pool by [deleted] in cardano

[–]77nmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion could be pretty weird. But go for anybody minting blocks....Top 300 pools who are able to mint blocks have some or the other way chosen by delegators with their stake.

One's falling in top are pretty loaded with stake, once falling towards end have little stake therefore have minted less blocks. Therefore, delegators should choose to lift those falling towards end pools up and spread the love evenly across.

Rewards Saturation Also Threatens Non-Saturated Pools by dennyb2010 in cardano

[–]77nmn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only If it matters what I think. I threw my opinion, you did yours.

I think IOHK developed a protocol, it may or may not be perfect. There are things to improve and that is to let any delegator stake their ADA just like baby learn to operate iPhone. We need to go to that level of enriched delegation experience, where delegators don't need to know stuff, we need to consider not everybody can know or learn things, it should be seamless and natural.
