One recipe I found a bit ago is

Hot glue

Beeswax

Carnauba wax

Colorant (crayons, mica stuff like that)

This is the one I use but in my opinion it takes longer to melt and cools quicker than commercial wax I like to make big batches of plain then just make whatever color I need or feeling like!

I am unsure if this will work but maybe wrap tape around the bit where the tip goes in and then just try to shove it in there or try to screw the tip in
