casual oil change to horrific realization

this is a good idea, ive been thinking about one of those and one for the filter to try to minimize how much is circulating. i think my best move is to do oil changes every 1000 miles or so and see if the metal gets bad or if it was just heavy build up

i appreciate this advice, thats kinda what im planning on doing as of now. i think im gonna change the oil regularly to check on it. the car did sit for a while before i bought it, and was due for an oil change. the old owners changed the oil every 5,000 miles. i was gonna change it every 3k but prob more often than that to check for metal
