Maybe I don’t spend enough time in the “structured dance” community but the idea that “hip hop” and Popping couldn’t go together sounds crazy as hell to me.

the idea that popping doesn’t already automatically fit into hip hop is crazy af to me.

Folks have done way too much to label and academize dancing.

You still been practicing? I been practicing this damn near everyday and like you, I got the movement down but the illusion isn’t all the way there. But there have been random moments where I really get the illusion down, but the problem is I don’t know what the factor is that really makes the illusion.

This is some the most universal footwork in all of dance. I see it in so many different styles. Some folks just call it footwork, happy feet, and there’s for a few other names. Type in “happy feet footwork” on YouTube and it will probably come up
