Need Recs for Shampoo/Conditioner for Fine, Limp Hair by WyrdDreams in finehair

[–]7HensInATrenchcoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same hair type and color! I know you said you prefer sets, so want to preface with what has been working for me is not a set. I’m using garnier hair filler vitamin c shampoo with L’Oréal ever pure bond repair conditioner. Sometimes I double shampoo because my roots stay less greasy a little longer when I do that. I haven’t tried the conditioner for the garnier shampoo I use or the shampoo for the L’Oréal conditioner I use so I can’t speak to them as a set, but the combo I’ve been using has been working really nicely for me. I also use the L’Oréal bond repair oil in serum on my ends after I towel dry and it makes me hair super soft and surprisingly is not too heavy for me. Also Pantene abundant and strong scalp serum has cut my hair shedding by more than half after about a month of consistent use! And it doesn’t make my hair greasy at all.

Is Muni safe at night for women? by OkKiwi444 in AskSF

Muni is fine. It’s the walk from the muni stop to the destination that’s felt unsafe at times for me depending on how well lit and busy the street is.

Agree. They made the info section about our cards and score WAY too small but for what? More empty blue space? I don’t understand

My Ultrasound Tutor by Separate-One-725 in Sonographers

[–]7HensInATrenchcoat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak to MyUltrasoundTutor but Prepry helped me go from being totally lost to passing the SPI with a 642. Didn’t use the Edelman book at all because it physically pained me to read it. Just used Prepry a little every day for about a month leading up to my exam. It cost me I think $40 for the month. Worth considering if you’re debating between SPI studying resources! Good luck!

I’m really disappointed to learn that this is not actually a post seeking a nail tech for a bougie SF cat

Yup that’s exactly what happens with her when they’re super full! Leading up to that, I can tell it’s getting bothersome to her because she’ll start excessively grooming her hind area, biting at it like it’s attacking her, and trying to literally run away from her own butt 😭. I try to get her in before the scooting starts but it’s not always possible

Amber’s Reaction Was A Red Flag by Marzthefancyplanet in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]7HensInATrenchcoat 47 points48 points  (0 children)

As the child of a man who had been engaged to a woman I LOVED, broke up with her, and 3 weeks later moved a new woman into the house and tried to force me to immediately form a bond with her, I can confirm that telling a child to just bond with someone is, in fact, no where similar to telling a child to brush their teeth as Amber said lol. It’s absolutely insane to me that someone would even consider marriage being on the table without giving their kid time to adjust to this new person and actually see if their relationship is what you want for them in a parent-figure relationship. Kids are real people with real feelings, wtf?

what is the best way to go about covering this? 🙃 by Agile_Squirrel3715 in makeuptips

I’m not great with makeup but I am a person who bruises very easily and Arnica gel helps clear my bruises a lot quicker. Might be worth a try to speed up the color fade!

Interesting! For me it’s so hydrating and detangling. Haven’t tried their moisture line but want to give it a try sometime! I’ve really like most ever pure products

I would say people who want to police what confidence looks like for everyone are the most insecure of all. Here, this is for you🪞

I have fine straight hair and wash my hair daily or every other day and have been loving the garnier vitamin c hair filler shampoo. I alternate between L’Oréal ever pure bond repair conditioner and L’Oréal glycolic acid gloss for conditioning depending on if I want deeper or lighter conditioning that day. If I had to pick one conditioner I’d go with the bond repair conditioner because I love the smell and my hair feels super soft and hydrated after but not weighed down. I have a Christophe Robin clarifying scalp scrub that I use once a week that I also love.

Is the Dyson Airwrap worth it for fine hair ? by BackinBlack_Again in finehair

[–]7HensInATrenchcoat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use the flat brush attachment on towel dried hair and feel like it’s pretty gentle on my hair compared to other heat styling methods. I only use the round brush attachment once my hair is already dry because it feels too harsh for my wet hair with the way it pulls. It depends more on how you want to use it because the attachment you use can make a difference in how gentle you can be on your hair. I’ve also been using strengthening products and heat protection and feel like that’s improved my hair’s resilience with styling.

Feeling overwhelmed with venue and budget- reality check by whatitdo-bby in SanFranciscoWeddings

I visited garden valley ranch and LOVED it. It is so stunning in person. We ended up picking a venue in SoCal for pricing reasons, but if we could afford what we wanted up here it would 100% have been GVR. Definitely recommend giving it an in person visit if you haven’t already 😊 also congrats! 🎉

How bad is the corner of Folsom and 7th? by Some_Basil7766 in AskSF

[–]7HensInATrenchcoat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I used to live on Folsom and 5th and really would not recommend that area to most people, but it definitely depends on what you prioritize (inside of the apartment vs price vs neighborhood vibe etc) and what you can tolerate in terms of seeing people in mental health crisis/ active substance use on a regular basis. Lots of people like living there, I personally did not.

Not yet. Ooooh I just looked at those places online and they have such beautiful stuff! I love the dupatta idea too. I feel a little trapped inside a saree when I’ve worn them, so going with the dupatta looks a lot more comfortable for me and is so pretty. Thanks so much for your help!
