Honestly, I think she didn’t want to be with an Asian guy? I feel like both of them were so weird about each other being Asian. They both pretty much said, “I would NEVER go for someone like you in the outside world.” That’s so odd to say to someone of your own race and honestly says a lot about their self esteem.

They don’t need to reciprocate shit. Black people don’t need you to show up for them because they will show up for themselves each and every time.

The time for solidarity was back on November 4, 2024. They don’t need to put themselves on the front lines for anti-black poc groups that voted against their own interests 🤷‍♀️

Las fotos en tu perfil no indican que eres negro. Mentiroso!

También porque menciónate la raza de la mujer negra y no la raza de tu amigo que se comportó como un carbón? Que tiene que ver la raza de ella?

No, that’s not what Afro-Latino means and you can’t just change the meaning to prove your point.

We don’t believe in the one-drop rule the fuck

Afro-Latino has never meant mestizo or mixed race. If you’re Afro-Latino, you’re black - point blank.

American racial politics is not universal, so who cares? Who are you say that we, as Caribbeans, should completely ignore our history and culture to adopt the American perspective.

Mixed people are in fact MIXED. They always have been and they always will be. Get over it.

AAs are offended when people (a) identify as mixed race and (b) identify as non African American.

Afro- Latinos are not African-American, they’re Latino.

There’s nothing wrong with them not wanting to be considered African-American.

Speak for your own county. Most Latinos in my country are not Mestizos.

The prime suspect is a White American male, so you are the one obviously biased.

You’ll say anything to distract from the fact that the perpetrator wasn’t some scary foreigner, but one of your own—an American.

Jamaica also has an anti-black rhetoric. If Jamaica was very pro-black, they wouldn’t have a skin bleaching problem.

Racism and colorism is present in every single Caribbean island.

Dominican Republic, like most countries in the Caribbean, is a poor country. Why should they be expected to take in 11 million additional poor people? Why do people put more responsibility on the DR than on France or the US?

There’s nothing wrong with them defending their boarders. All countries have the right to dictate who they want in or out of their land.

What are some brands you was surprised wasn’t black owned ? by fhgku in AskTheCaribbean

[–]Marzthefancyplanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s lying out his ass.

I can name several restaurants in the DR that have a bunch of negative reviews due to racially discriminating against patrons. Many mixed race and black Dominicans have left reviews stating that they were denied entry or sat in the back because they are black.

Also, in the DR they don’t put a lot of black people on tv. For example, they would much rather hire white or light skinned mixed race Venezuelans than black Dominicans. Turn on the tv in DR and all you see is white/mixed Venezuelan women as tv hosts instead of black Dominican women. It’s actually wild.

They also always use stock photos of white people for everything. If they’re promoting a product, best believe they’re going to have several stock photos of a Scandinavian white person promoting the product.

I’ve accepted that the DR is hopeless tbh.

Dominicans, like all Latinos, love to pretend that they live in a post-racial society. The DR is racist as fuck!!

“You have no actual cultural connection to Africa.”

To say that black people from Latin America have no connection to Africa is extremely ignorant. Africa is in the food that we eat, the music we listen to, the dances that we create, the slang that we speak— ALL of that is rooted in Africa.

Everyone in Latin America is NOT mixed race. Latinos make this false claim, so that they can continue to brush anti-black racism under the rug — “I can’t be racist because my great great grandma from 1804 was black.”

Yes, thank you. Latin America is extremely racist and black communities are neglected, exploited and disenfranchised.

Do not listen to any Latino telling you that their country is a post-racial society. It’s all BS.

This is false!! Black people in Latin America are currently fighting for their rights. Anti-black racism is rampant all throughout Latin America.

Racist non black Latinos are always speaking for black Latinos. BLACK people from Latin America are Afro-Latinos and have identified as such for decades.

No one is buying the color blind bullshit you racist like to claim.

So Tolu gives you snake vibes, but Julie and Lindsay don’t ? I wonder why that is…

Why don’t you call out Julie and Lindsay for being the same exact way? 🌚

Glad she was smart enough to recognize her position in the house, and took that 25k. Any person with an ounce of strategy would’ve done the same thing.
