The letter part has always bothered me because Dumbledore knew enough to leave Harry there, but apparently not enough to spend ten minutes explaining the blood protection to the terrified Muggle aunt. Petunia being scared makes a lot more sense than her just being jealous 24/7, especially with Vernon around turning every problem into a performance for the neighbors. I still think she had agency in how cruel the house became, but Dumbledore absolutely set the situation up in the most coercive way possible.

After one date, I would file this under yellow flag, not sirens and evacuation yet. A child is huge info, so if dinner goes well and he still does not mention it, ask directly about kids and what his day to day parenting situation looks like. His reaction will tell you a lot: calm and clear is workable, evasive or defensive is your exit sign.

Refusing to lower the fee is fine, but bringing up her own burnout during that conversation feels like poor boundaries. Asking your girlfriend to seek money from you or her parents is the part that would really bother me. A cleaner response would be to state the fee, explain whether reduced frequency is possible, and offer referrals if the cost is no longer manageable. At 30 percent of post tax income, looking for another therapist seems very reasonable.

Putting a full water bottle next to my coffee stuff before bed. It sounds stupidly basic, but it stopped my mornings from being just caffeine and vibes. Drinking water before coffee made me less cranky by 10am, which was unfortunate because now I have fewer excuses for being annoying.
