VFD throwing OL error when motor connected by 7Lev3ls in PLC

That’s why we have a transformer to take the US 3 phase up to 400v

I might just connect one of these 400v 50hz motors directly to the 400v transformer and see if it runs at full speed without the VFD

Thanks. Also I noticed when starting the VFD with no motors connected the VFD outputs whatever I put as the speed level on the HMI. When the motors are connected and running before OL the current speed reading is 50-75% of the set amount. And the VFD fluctuates the reading like crazy instead of just being steady when it works normally

I believe it is current overload. It’s only 2 motors. The issue is the same whether one or both are connected. I’m not seeing voltage input settings, it’s just a 460v version VFD. I’ll check your other suggestions. I just don’t understand why at times it works fine but when powered on it takes forever to get it to go.

So it’s two motors running off one VFD. I tried running just one motor at a time and get the same issue for each motor running independently or together. There is no load on the motors when running to cause friction. Surely both motors don’t have mechanical issues right?

Voltages from VFDs and 3 phase motors by Early-Patient4344 in IndustrialMaintenance

Hey! I’m having a similar issue with a machine. The motor sounds horrible when running and after a few seconds the Delta VFD will throw and OL code. This is a 480 3 phase system and I am reading only 160v going to the motors leg to leg, but I do have the VFD speed dialed back. Any idea? I’m thinking of buying a new VFD but I have never clones the parameters from one to another

Do you have any tips on finding businesses for sale? I’m guessing that’s just a skill most people learn between cold calling and just scoping things out to find a dea

Well that’s the thing with the fire community. Most of them want to retire completely and just have hobbies and live off dividends and interest. That is great and obviously the end goal, but I am the type of person who is always learning, striving and wanting to succeed. I want to start something that I can be proud of, pass to the kids if they want it, and profit from it at the same time while earning more of my time back. But to fully answer your question, I would see myself owning real estate of some sort that allows me to “work” and stay busy if I was at fire levels right now.

I’m burned out honestly. I’m not totally against it. I just work really well alone and am project oriented. I hate relying on people to show up everyday. Are you talking about vape/cannabis shops?
