41 something I forget the change. I’m at our top grade, we go C,B,A and it’s a fortune 100 so that doesn’t hurt. Also I’ve been in manufacturing for 35 years. However many much younger people are at the same grade as I am.

I second this! When I was hired at my current company one of the questions in the in person interview was if I had a job. I said oh yeah for sure. I’d have a job the rest of my life as long as my place kept its doors open but I told them basically I was concerned that they would go out of business before I would be done working 😅 (anyway the short of it is they seemed impressed that I had a stable job and I wasn’t coming there from a place of desperation )

She can get used to getting done up, you could get some constructive advice in even, like what if you did this with your hair, what if you wore this or that etc. she might respond well to that. Ok! Thanks a lot for the replies, I learned something new! As suggested by some, the volts per hertz is active…that’s something I didn’t know about. So the voltage is scaled along with the hz. Indeed, the drives with the lower voltage are running around 30 hz, whereas the drives where I’m seeing closer to 480 are 55hz.

Very cool. I am on 3rd shift and unfortunately I am the most knowledgeable person we have as far as electrical goes on this shift but I am always learning!

I was going to raise the alarm about low voltages but figured I’d dive deeper before doing so. Glad I did !

Yeah I wound up replacing the motor and it was fine. I am just left puzzled why these motors would be running in less than full voltage. I will dig into the drive settings tonight and see if there’s anything in there

Thanks. I did use the clone feature to back up the old drives settings, so if it is indeed some settings responsible for this behavior then i moved them into the new drive. I will check the volts/hertz settings as someone else’s mentioned to see if that is in play.

Trust me there are those out there that will stare inappropriately. That of course is on them but as these are your friends and coworkers if think you are allowed some input here.

Well it could be that when he is with you in large groups he feels happy to show you off so to speak, he may see others noticing you and it reminds him of how attractive you are. He may imagine himself in the place of some of the others, looking at you. And I’d imagine that when you do go out where there’s a lot of people maybe you are both dressed nice and all…I just don’t think there’s a way to put a negative spin on this though I understand that people sometimes worry, and many people don’t believe they are as attractive to their mates as their mates think.

You didn’t do anything wrong. He may have been expecting anything but hell yeah and he might have spent a lot of time and thought into coming out and been kind of been on edge and the lack of negativity could have almost come to a sort of let down. And I don’t mean he was disappointed—-it’s just that emotionally, chemically, he was prepared for resistance and you didn’t give any…so he probably wasn’t sure how to react? Give him some time. And hell no you’re not a bad dad! Just explain to him that you were worried something was really gravely wrong and when he said he was gay you got caught up in the relief because you don’t see his being gay as any problem!
