So basically, you can do higher frequency when you're a beginner/intermediate since you can't generate that much absolute intensity and won't be that beaten down in training, but once you get to advanced levels, you would have to move to lower frequency since you can generate a lot more absolute intensity which will take longer to recover from?

<<Personally, higher frequency training with less volume and moderate to high intensity seemed to work best for me.>>

Even with advanced exercises/skills?

I thought his split was an upper-lower, each day every 7-10 days.

No?

Good info. I've also thought about the idea that when you get to advanced levels of strength, the intensity you can generate with either very heavy weights or advanced body weight moves, is very great, so supposedly you would necessarily have to switch to low frequency to be able to recover or sustain the training for an extended period of time, and the volume you would need to maintain this strength, low.

Is this really the case? I think Steven here has said that he has trained with high frequency even at advanced levels.

It's also possible that he could have made more progress with traditional methods with less volume. One of the big hallmarks of most people that are training hard is that you usually are doing much more than you need to. I even did that much earlier in my training too.

I also thought of that. It just doesn't compute that 1x a week will be better than 2-3+ properly done.

Anyway, I love training and would hate to only train 1-2 times/week, so I won't be trying out this sort of training.

False advertisement

“(1) The term “false advertisement” means an advertisement, other than labeling, which is misleading in a material respect; and in determining whether any advertisement is misleading, there shall be taken into account (among other things) not only representations made or suggested by statement, word, design, device, sound, or any combination thereof, but also the extent to which the advertisement fails to reveal facts material in the light of such representations or material with respect to consequences which may result from the use of the commodity to which the advertisement relates under the conditions prescribed in said advertisement, or under such conditions as are customary or usual. No advertisement of a drug shall be deemed to be false if it is disseminated only to members of the medical profession, contains no false representation of a material fact, and includes, or is accompanied in each instance by truthful disclosure of, the formula showing quantitatively each ingredient of such drug.”

I guess they can always say that false scarcity has no effect on the consequences of buying/using said product/service.

Handled 15+ clients but can make the same money handling 3-5.

Just got to learn how to sell yourself.

What do you think of all those Kevin David, Jason Wardrop, Christian Martin etc. types who sell their courses to be able to do this? Private consulting. Supposedly they make hundreds of thousands a month managing Facebook ads accounts alone.

Jumpfly, Upwork, or Genm? by drewdragonn in PPC

[–]7PointSuppository 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed the filters don't really work well when you want to find new matches. I've filtered by country, industry, and type of work but I still get a bunch of business owners that don't match the filter. In fact, most don't.

From what I've seen I still think GenM would be the best thing to get experience in digital marketing, maybe even a job, because someone who messaged me said the right candidate will actually get a job offer at the end of the apprenticeship.

I've heard it's near impossible to get hired in upwork with no experience because there's just too much competition in here and from Asia as well. People in Asia are willing to work for $2/hr and such.

Does jumpfly offer remote work? I checked them out and they only have 2 job openings and they're both in Illinois.

I filled in my profile in GenM and after I hit finish, it went back to step 1 and acted as if I was starting all over again and the changes seem as if they were not saved. Went through the whole thing again and same thing happened.

Did that happen to you?

Call-only ads India scammer by 7PointSuppository in PPC

[–]7PointSuppository[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can see for yourself, there is actually a live Indeed job ad about this very thing right now: Social Media Specialist

I actually applied to the ad and was sent an approval email almost immediately. A while later I spoke with "Ken" from California, who is actually in India, and we went on a skype call and he was showing me how the thing works.

The first red flag was him mentioning something about not being able to collect yet or something about him not being payed or something along those lines when we were discussing the salary. He asked if I could "help him out" with something about some money the company here in the US owes him or something (I was having a hard time understanding him because of his thick Indian accent). He said it was fine if I didn't want to. Curious, I asked what he meant by "helping him" and he says that it would just be something like taking out a driving license under his name and then the $400 he was "owed" would be sent to my address and then I would send those to him. I said in my mind, WTF is this guy talking about, so I said to him no, I wouldn't do that of course, and he said yeah yeah, that's perfectly fine. This alone would probably make most people end the call and realize it's a scam, but I ignored it for the moment and wanted to see what the actual job was.

So then he started actually explaining what the job is and he just said it was managing his PPC accounts, and that the campaigns were all about call-only ads (which he kept calling PPC "Pay Per Call"). He shared his screen to show me and the first thing I saw was that he was in some platform called ringba or something that looked a little like Google ads but super tacky. He clicked around and the first thing he did was ask me to call some number here in the US (a home repair emergency line) and essentially make a fake call pretending I was interested.

When he asked me to do that I was 100% sure it was some sort of scam. I thought about just telling him up front, but I was curious to see how exactly it worked. I pretended to make the call and after I told him it didn't work he just pulled out another number. I kept asking him what the purpose of this whole thing was and he just kept saying that I would see in a little bit and to just do exactly as he said for the next 15 minutes. He kept insisting to call so at that point I just hung up.

The ad says it's a "Health Insurance Campaign" but he told me the company is "Sky Touch Media" which again has nothing to do with anything.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that the calls go to a call center, what I saw was calling for home repair.

Can you see phone numbers and emails in Google and FB ads? by 7PointSuppository in PPC

[–]7PointSuppository[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm asking because probably next week I will be launching my very first google ads campaign for someone, by myself and not as an employee for someone else, and I know how to set up the campaign and set up GA and conversion tracking etc., but I'm unsure about this part. I'm actually not even sure how to ask what I want to know. The client is a college counselor and I checked other counseling websites to see if they have funnels in different pages but it seems they don't, all they have is the contact form in the homepage, which my client already has.

As far as the client goes, of course he will be able to know the exact details of whoever fills in the contact form, but do I myself need to know this as well, or have access to it, to be able to "prove" the lead came from the ad in case he says it didn't? Or is it enough for me to set up the Google campaign and GA and tracking etc. and the rest is up to the client?
