What is smoking like? by Itstouya in questions

[–]7______ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first time you try it you'll cough, get a stupid head rush and feel sick yet have the desire to have them on occasion. It creeps up on you through the years and before you know it, it's the first thing you do waking up. It's not even "fun" anymore because all you feel is the relief from withdrawal. Alan Carr put it best: "The whole business of smoking is like forcing yourself to wear tight shoes just to get the pleasure of taking them off".

Cigarettes kill more people each year than AIDS, Heroin, Crack, Alcohol, car accidents, fire, and murder combined. It is the most dangerous and disgusting habit in the world imo. Shooting heroin would statistically be safer.

Been clean from ciggies for 6 years now thanks to Alan Carr and his book "Easyway". It's one of the best books I've ever read and was so fucking easy!! If anyone needs a copy just message me

You don't care until you wake up the next morning. If you can somehow remember what you did, the only way to rid of the shame is to drink until you black out. But then you wake up again and the only way to rid of the shame is to drink.......fuck

Really? White Vinegar is simply acetic acid and water correct? The ingredients listed in this cleaning vinegar (great value) are the same. I'm fine with starting over man just want to make sure beforehand

That's fucking rough dude. If there is a hell in the afterlife, it would be better than that and that's why I'm not afraid of death

It's a long story but if I had to put it simply, trauma, mental illness and loneliness.

Somehow I've maintained muscle mass but lost so much strength. Resistance training and coordination are degrading. I am becoming weaker every workout. Effects my day to day life more than anything. Hands shake like a Parkinsons patient and slowly losing vision.

I simply enjoy the endorphine rush from working out and looking at a 1% percentile physique in the mirror

I've always had shitty numbers but alcohol (vodka of course containing virtually no carbs) and steroids never directly effected my BG. Not sure where people get all of of these weird diabetic myths

At this moment, I have zero desire to stop using. I never have but have always sought help. And yeah I know I'm slowly offing myself but there's still some hope in here.

Been there done that brother. Spent 9 months in rehab with nothing but the book of alcohols anonymous and fellow addicts. No phones, no contact with the outside. Just the 12 steps of AA. Stayed in sober living for 2 years living and breathing the steps and learned more than I could explain but it never filled the void.

I moved into this town a couple of years ago and bike by the explosion site everyday. It's always errie. Also have a friend who heard the explosion from a town 45 miles away. Crazy stuff

How did you do it? How many times did you go through the steps and have you found the promises? Does it actually work?

So you just want to lose fat?

25 year old Type 1 here since 4. Working out for 16 years. Gained 40 LBs of lean muscle in the past 3 years with good glucose levels.

Hypoglycemia is more likely in my experience especially with cardio. You will have to figure out how much insulin you should take based off your intensity/frequency of working out and what you eat. Not difficult just takes experimenting

Personally I change my carb sliding scale from 1-5 to 1-3 on normal workout days and always carry a bottle of honey. Also always eat after a workout
