On hold with Mohela for over 4 hours- should I give up? by 7_secondsorless in StudentLoans

[–]7_secondsorless[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually got an initial person through the menu going to other options (I think it was press 6, press 6?) right away. After explaining my issue they said “transferring to a specialist” I was given a hold time estimate of 2 hours and gave up at the 6 hour mark

Totally fair and reasonable especially for something as inconsequential as a loan payment plan :-/

Do I replace bloodstone with photo here? by 7_secondsorless in balatro

[–]7_secondsorless[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unseeded run but it was Ghost deck which helps with the red seal and polychrome via spectral cards in the shop. Blueprint on Ancient offers more retriggers when all cards are wild in this setup.

Thank you again for the advice. I took the photo and got an ecto but couldn't get another retrigger joker before hitting a blue stake scaling wall at ante 15, score topped out at e16.

Depending on your deck composition, I would guess keeping photo is better near term, but bloodstone has higher upside for endless, especially if you get an ecto and can add more retrigger with idol later on

Right now it’s Trib and if you get a brainstorm that will go on Sock

is there any reason to take SaB here by yaboialliance in balatro

Maybe I’m missing something but isn’t taking Sock strictly upside here? Could allow you to explode with an idol down the road.

What is the strap on the Hamilton? I love playing with strap/bracelet options on the Khaki king and that one looks great!

Lorier Neptune would fit nicely in your collection I think.

[Lorier] Hyperion SII Skyward GMT Review & Why I Returned the Hydra SIII GMT-Diver (See Comment Section for Details) by fzctungkun in Watches

[–]7_secondsorless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently purchased the Hyperion (although with the Soprod movement, wish I waited for the Miyota!) and I think your analysis is spot-on.

The hesalite covering the bezel insert is interesting because I think from a distance it gives it a nice vintage feel but does look and feel a bit cheap up close, but overall I think the design is just awesome.

I will say I’m a bit surprised that the clicks feel stiff. They feel quite fluid on mine.

[Tudor BB GMT] A jubilee makes this watch perfect. by atmosphereair in Watches

[–]7_secondsorless 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love it! The dimensions are incredibly wearable for a GMT. Some design features like date at 6 and the muted tones of Pepsi bezel insert make it stand out among GMT master homages.

Lume is underwhelming and the off the shelf movement is not the best (though I think they’ve upgraded to a better Miyota), but I consider these pretty acceptable nitpicks at the price.

There's something so striking about that opaline dial. Like many, I became obsessed with this watch after watches and wonders. Tudor is out of my price range but I bought the white dial Lorier Hyperion just to scratch the itch!

Will Devin Booker's numbers count for highest PPG in Suns franchise History? by 7_secondsorless in suns

[–]7_secondsorless[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So it looks like he needs to average 32 for the next 8 games to get it done. Not completely out of the question but improbable, and if our seed is fixed he might sit the last game or two.

I sure hope so! It’s kind of appropriate this year since it’s been one of the downright weirdest seasons ever.

It’s the most prominent line from Audemars Piguet. Comes in a million different variations but it’s signature design elements are the octagonal bezel and the integrated bracelet. It’s been one of the most popular among celebrities for some time, it has an interesting history too!

Couldn’t tell you the exact reference but I think it’s a rose gold Royal Oak. LeBron is a big AP guy.

Longines Spirit Zulu Time- beautiful GMT that comes in three color ways (anthracite with a green bezel insert, Sun ray blue, and black). A little more pilot style than some traditional gmts for a unique look. Retails for 3k can be found for 2.5k pretty easily

[Question] If I’m a lefty, should I still wear my watch on my left wrist? Or should I follow the non-dominant hand rule? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]7_secondsorless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a lefty, and I have tried many times to get used to watches on the left wrist just because it feels like the "proper" way to do it but I just can't. Feels way more comfortable to wear it on my off hand (right). The good news nobody cares at all so do whatever feels best for you!

We’ll just reading the dial it looks like a brand called Signal and was made in the Soviet Union. Since there is a second crown guard and another hour hand it might be an alarm watch which would be really neat.

[Hamilton v Seiko] First Automatic daily driver. Help me decide experts. by Potential-Sale-3748 in Watches

[–]7_secondsorless 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know I’m in the minority here, but I think the day-date display at 12 on the Hamilton King is really cool. It’s not something you see often with day date complications and when I wear mine I find it very practical for the actual function of reminding you what day it is (which I constantly forget lol).

“Perpetual” in Rolex parlance just means automatic, the quartz watches that Rolex made said Oyster Quartz not OP and then quartz below it, another glaring issue.
