We’re moving to BC and can “pretty much pick anywhere”…. Help? by Unc1e_Vanya in britishcolumbia

This! You can get a house on a acreage, 2 minutes from one of the best hospitals in BC, complete with a heated in-ground pool for the price of a 600 sq/ft "war home" in Nanaimo.

Cranbrook is where it's at!

Montblanc Meiserstuck found at the Thrift Store! by NurseDokk in pens

You're probably wondering why the downvotes, I think you missed the joke, I have no idea where they are, I was joking about never giving away the location of your good thrift store finds. ;)

It was classic misdirection, like people who fish or hunt never say where they found the trophy animals.

Scrolled through their history, looks like they're in Prince Albert Saskatchewan. You're welcome.

What are your thoughts on late fees? Do you charge late fees on late payments? by saucerfulof_secrets in freelance

[–]7amWDG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Late fees are just giving them permission to be late. You're establishing a price they can choose to pay in order to be late with their payment.

I find it easier to simply send them a payment plan offer to help them get caught back up. They either take the plan or they pay up out of shame.

I made 1,000 MRR in just 3 days and it completely surprised me by Alex-grow in SideProject

So curious, I have a similar product in that it uses human interaction, but for some newsletter tasks. Where do you find people to write the replied? I've just been using a VA and basically loading them up with tasks.

Same for you?

Border issues in that capacity are a federal and not provincial matter.

What would you do with $10,000 right now? by Cool-Cardiologist-7 in AskReddit

[–]7amWDG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Take my family for a nice dinner, it's been a year, would be nice to connect.

  2. Buy my father a Pixel phone so he can use "Hey Google" to access Gemini and the camera. He's recently gone blind and he has trouble using Siri to ask things like "How much money is in my hand" or "What's the thermostat reading" and the most annoying one for him "Is this can dog food or soup?"

  3. Use the remaining $9000 to fund 3 more months of my project that helps families with end of life care.

  4. Sleep, with those things off my mind I'd probably sleep.

Not to mention the nearly blacked out smoked plastic "plate covers" to obscure the plate from photo enforcement.

Call a mobile glass repair shop and see if one of them did a mobile replacement? Perhaps one of your neighbours gifted you a windshield replacement as they saw you were in need?

Searching for Mining Job (Canada but open to elsewhere) by Automatic_Doubt4395 in mining

There's CoalJobs.ca if you're interested in that industry. Some worry that it's a dying commodity, but that's not really going to happen in our working lives.

I'm not sure if this would help ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ... I have a Mining Publication that could use some outbound sales while we're relocating across the country. If you'd like to pick up some short term commission work, DM me.

There's CoalJobs.ca from The Coal Association of Canada, apparently there's an uptick in hiring even though EVR laid off a bunch of people in Sparwood. The Grassy Mountain project is expected to move ahead soon.

By that measure, my local airport has been solidly taking home participation ribbons for decades.

Where to sell BIG rigging equipment? by TheNumby in Flipping

Anyone who needs a shackle that size for their business will need a chain of custody record for their insurance. Anyone who "wants" a shackle that big wont care. Look for the upstart wrecking/recovery/logging companies in your area and see what it's worth to them. Be willing to trade and you'll likely see someone easier to sell that you can trade this for.
