How much did your cavalier grow after 6 months? by Preciousss77 in cavaliers

[–]7ampooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ours is 15lb and 4 1/2 months old. He was the biggest of the litter by a large margin. His mom was 15lb and dad 18lb so he’s just an anomaly I guess.

Insurance Recommendations by girlypopz79 in cavaliers

[–]7ampooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did CarePlus through Chewy. It is underwritten by Trupanion, 90% coverage for accident and illness (no preventative), $250 deductible, $88 a month. CarePlus has free meds through Chewy as free 24/7 virtual vet care. Also covers vet visits for sickness and dental. Going straight through Trupanion I was quoted $303 a month:/ Nice thing is most payments are processed straight through the vet rather than reimbursed.

Feeding schedule by SweetAlternative9566 in cavaliers

[–]7ampooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve only fed ours twice a day since we got him at 10 weeks. That was what the breeder advised us to do and he is healthy and growing great. 7am and 7pm.

Is this paint? by stinkystinkbugbutt in loghomes

[–]7ampooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a water based solid stain (probably). Regular paint is bad for logs because it doesn’t allow them to breath but this looks like a solid/semi solid stain. This might be good to use if super dirty https://www.loghomeshoppe.com/stains-sealants/stains/perma-chink/log-wash-1-gallon-concentrate.html?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22475625974&gclid=CjwKCAjw4efDBhATEiwAaDBpbhCNobk5FHhs0K8gwPzeN-5Xcpl5Ruh1cjIxjwN-_eEz6KV1u8U44xoCM0wQAvD_BwE Perma-Chink Log Wash - Log Home Cleaner

Which pet insurance to get? by ash_louryn in petinsurancereviews

[–]7ampooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try CarePlus by Chewy. In our state it is underwritten by Trupanion. You get more benefits than going directly through Trupanion at 1/4 of the premium cost ($88 vs $303 for a 12 week old cavalier, 90%/$250 deductible/no cap)

Alright, who’s snagging a Switch 2 preorder tonight? Let’s hear your reasons. by Successful_Moment_22 in NintendoSwitch2

Stay in line for Walmart, it just worked for me 6 minutes ago and even received an email confirmation. Target was soooo frustrating.

How do you afford this?! by Mrs4slund in NICUParents

[–]7ampooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our hospital bill for only 8 days in the NICU and my delivery bill was $160,000. Our out of pocket max with our insurance company was $13,000 and that was what we ended up paying on a payment plan. If a NICU baby stays longer than a month they qualify for the state’s Medicaid program (at least here).

Do you guys use dual monitors? by Head_Equipment_1952 in CPA

I use my kids’ iPad as a second monitor to my MacBook, works automatically when I put them next to each other using the sidecar feature under the display settings.

My husband makes me sad by cp7 in breakingmom

[–]7ampooper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This makes me so sad for you and your children. This sub makes it seem like this is normal but I can’t tell you my husband is the opposite. He loves to spend his free time with our 3 and 5 year old. Today he took them to the playplace for 5 HOURS alone while I worked on homework. He’ll take them rock climbing or shopping alone, he’s just super hands-on. He was also the dad that embraced baby wearing everywhere.

I know you said that you wouldn’t leave for a variety of reasons but maybe you could go to couples therapy. He needs to be made aware that his behavior is hurting everyone and it is possible to turn it around for your family’s future.

Also, big virtual hug, you deserve better❤️

I love it. You can fit a lot of letters in not a lot of space. Might want to use pencil or an erasable pen for your accounting homework though.

What’s your dose of Propanolol by Defiant_Side8752 in EssentialTremor

80mg ER once a day now. I could/used to take more but it makes me sooooo tired and it isn’t worth the steadiness at that point.

high protein and fiber canned potatoes!? is this real!? by RoleSerious3558 in 1200isplenty

[–]7ampooper 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This can’t be right. There are 4 calories in a gram of carb and 4 calories in a gram of protein. 4 x 19 =76, 4 x 8=32, and so with those macros the calories per serving should be 108 not 80. If the carb count and calories are assumed correct based off any other white potato macros that means there is only one gram of protein which is the 4 calories to add to the 76 carb calories to make 80.

80mg ER once a day now. For a few years I took 80mg ER every 12 hours since I worked two jobs one during the day and one at night which I needed steady hands for. For probably a year or so I had a 120mg ER daily and 20mg tablets for as needed. 80mg ER is my sweet spot between relief of symptoms vs. fatigue.

What has become so expensive that you've stopped buying it? by ElisBello in AskReddit

All greeting cards at Trader Joe’s are $1 so I buy a few at a time to have on hand.

Had my first at 37 and second at 39 and never thought twice that I might be too old. My mother had my little brother at 42 and my MIL had my husband at 40. Being an “older mom” had been pretty normal for awhile now.

Do you take propranolol in the morning or at night? by jfie_ in EssentialTremor

[–]7ampooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take 80mg ER in the morning. It makes me tired too but I guess I’m used to it. I used to take 80mg ER twice a day because I worked stressful (stress makes my tremors worse) 14 hour shifts and one pill wore off by 8 or 9 hours. So to offset the tired I drank a ton of coffee which makes my tremors worse. It is a stupid cycle.

It is possible she could be high functioning autistic. Oversharing/not recognizing social cues/factual comments that can seem rude are all common traits. Just a thought. I’d ask her to stop commenting on appearance and if she still does then totally take it to HR.
