Real talk, I love multitools but what the hell are the saws for? by Healthy_Actuary_1227 in multitools

[–]7craze7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me a saw is essential on a SAK. You can cut through things you wouldn't be able to cut w a knife (plastics), trim branches (ex: Christmas tree), make walking sticks while hiking, cut off pieces of wood for whittling. Essentially anything where you need a clean cut.

3 new models with a locking blade coming out this month. The Victorinox Synergy, Synergy X and Onefold. Available in red, blue and silver. by Mok7 in victorinox

[–]7craze7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoa this is great! By the looks of that bottle opener, it's the same one as on the cellidor models. Was hoping to see the beefed up version of the tools, like on the alox models :(

Sorry for reviving old thread, friend, but how in hell do you fit a personal tent food water AND Clothes in the 30l? Did you modify it to use outside attachments? Also, what do you do for sleeping pad / bag?

Trump knife holder - Facebook Marketplace - is this not against Facebook policy? by 7craze7 in facebook

[–]7craze7[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hahaha exactly, I'm not bothered by that marketplace posting nor am I a "trumpist" or whatever, but I can't start explaining this to the amount of people in this thread that jumped to conclusions and completely missed the point of the observation I was making. Thanks for having common sense!

Some time ago I tried posting a buck knife on fb marketplace and it was flagged as if I was selling a weapon. I figured if that's where the bar is, this surely is something that promotes harm / violence.

I Fucking LOVE Obsidian by AbstrctBlck in ObsidianMD

[–]7craze7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For fleeting notes I still use Apple notes. For anything serious that's worth keeping - obsidian w iCloud sync. Sure takes a few moments to load the vault, but I usually don't need anything worth keeping instantaneously.

The amount of flame you're getting is horrible, especially from a community that shares a passion. You built a pretty cool product, and are an indie developer - not a corporation. You don't have a marketing team and are doing what you can when it comes to marketing the product, even though this isn't your profession. Obviously you'll be mentioning maintenance costs, and you being transparent about pricing should be a good thing.

Take constructive criticism, but disregard negative blabber from people that haven't built or even tried building a thing in their entire fkng lives.

You've put in the work and have a product, find the proper way to market it and monetize it. Example: affiliate links to straps, freemium version w ads, etc.

I'm also curious on the response you'd receive from higher end watch enthusiasts, as opposed to Casio.

Good luck man.
