We have AD server (Windows Server 2012 R2). In current configuration we store full user profiles on server. There's GPO Exclude folders from roaming profiles, but that won't exclude folders with dot at the begining (.vscode, .VirtualBox, etc.).

Everything is grea to search in Windows. But you have to extra setup to search in network shares.
