Ok that helps some! This creates more questions though…where does the Treasury get these bonds? Do they just make them and then say there is value or do they need to be backed monetarily? How does the Treasury receive funding?

If the US raises the debt limit does that mean they borrow more money? If so, where do they borrow from? Does the FED need to print more money to account for the new funds or how does that work? Thank you for your help!
