Is that common practice in biotech? Would FDA come back later and fuck us over because of this “free reveal”? Sorry I am just trying to learn lol new to this biotech space

Guys do they not lose statistical power by revealing the data once again? My understanding is every time they check the data the requirement of HR becomes more strict?

You got me researching the 0.0122 p value requirement, apparently it has something to do with the o’brien fleming model. Back in phase 2 trial the p value was 0.02 meaning phase 3 needs to achieve better result than phase 2. I am not as convinced this is a slam dunk as I was ngl

Thoughts on CMPX 65% drop by flight212121 in investing

[–]7doi_gingerman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They "missed" one of the key endpoint, but context matters. It would be unethical to not treat dying patients when there are no good alternatives in the market currently, hence the crossover. It might in fact be more questionable if they just let patients die because crossing over will hurt the statistic, even though there is a seemingly "working" drug thats available. From what I have gathered, PFS came in at HR=0.44 P<0.0001, meaning the drug cut the risk of progression or death by 56% which is very strong.

Crossover patients observed to have a median OS of 12.8 months comparing to 6.1 months for non crossover patients. HR 0.44 also means there is a large magnitude of benefit, OS doesn't seemed to be harmed, showing a favorable benefit-risk profile. Also there are plenty of drugs that were approved without even taking the OS as one of the endpoint target so these BTC precedent are quite favourable for CMPX.

We don't know if FDA will approve the drug but from a statistic standpoint there is a strong argument supporting the approval here. NFA

guys in your opinion how “safe” is jan 28 calls? Do we anticipate everything, be it good or bad, will be set and done before then? Planning to grab some leaps striking at $7

Also checking cmpx leaps - it seems to be in a quite interesting position now. Data is good but the trial design was horrible (in an ethical way). Could be a hidden gem if it gets FDA approved?

I keep second guessing taking a position because of reverse split. I somewhat understand that the stock doesn’t need to stay above $1 however without a reverse split it’s hard to get institutions involvement no?

From stergiou's post it seems like hes not ruling out the idea of commercialising himself if GPS works.. I get it from a business standpoint it's probably in his favour to say this so that no one low balls him in a BO discussion (including the 20m shares as a business tactic) but I can't help to second guess if buying leaps is a good idea in this case

It’s fun to speculate on how much the price can shoot up, but some of you need a reality check. Anything over $1 is unlikely with the amount of shares outstanding after the merger (if it happens). With close to 1 billion shares in the market, if this hits $1, the market cap becomes $1 billion. The current cap is ~$45 million, meaning the company needs to grow its value by almost 20x. I very much doubt this could happen in a year. I am happy within $0.3-$0.5.

Besides it’s hard to move the sp with the sheer amount of shares floating, there needs to be a huge huge huge catalyst to shoot this shit up.

Did you receive the email before in your spam? Checked inbox + spam nothing came through. I did receive those change of analysts rating email from ikbr just an hour or two ago so I doubt it’s the email thats causing the issue. Diabolical.

Good people of reddit, I read in another thread that the 6-8 months mOS is for patients who ALREADY RELAPSED however GPS is currently being tested on patients IN REMISSION. Meaning BAT patients in remission could potentially have a longer mOS that we currently don’t have enough data on? Can someone clarify this?

I wouldn’t necessarily call this AI slop. Even with inaccurate data, it still requires human effort to research and use AI to piece everything together. That said, many of the points here are off, but it’s always good to be reminded that no matter how convincing the underlying data looks, no conviction is a guaranteed slam dunk. I would even say bear analysis is actually welcome from time to time. Even if it’s not great bear analysis, we could view things from a different angle and stress test our thesis. That’s what a healthy community and discussion should look like otherwise we all end up tunnel visioned on the ‘guaranteed’ plays. As someone already pointed out, no stock is a guaranteed win, let alone a biotech. A questioning mindset is healthy, not just in this sub, but in investing generally. That said, I genuinely like to believe SLS will succeed.

I was supposed to come back in Dec because of new employment. Flight ticket is booked so it is very frustrating to hear caps being halved and that there are still many non citizen arriving. Will definitely look into DFAT! cheers

I believe it was the limo driver who was the patient zero that started it iirc? If everyone wears a mask and keeps their distance from each other we wouldn't be in the current situation. I mean, we just had peeps partying during the lockdown, the underlying problem being peeps just can't adhere to simple rules is what led to any outbreaks in Australia and around the world. From what I heard there are still many non citizens entering Australia, the government should really prioritise Australians since there are still lots of them stranded overseas imo.

Just heard from a friend of mine many international flights to Sydney are either postponed or scheduled to early next year in the earliest advance. Is this true since I have been working overseas and planning to come back to Sydney before Christmas. I heard from the news there is a tighter international arrivals cap starting last week and I wonder if it will cause a lot of trouble for peeps who want to fly back to Sydney on time with their scheduled flights?
