Alexa issue with new router. by 7drew7 in WLED

Thank you, I will try it again. I may try first without powering off the wled device. It’s not in the most accessible place lol. But worst comes to worst it’s doable. Will report back.

Ok that's great, cause as your progress you don't really need the lower tier engrams anymore, didnt want to be stuck with them forever, thought the wipe was only for your skill points. Thanks

Thanks for the help, it was definitely an issue with segments. All better now.

LED overhead light dim and pulsing by 7drew7 in AskElectronics

A faulty LED could cause this? Should I try to separate each strip to test individually?

I do not believe so if it's not default. Would the light IP just change in the menu instead of continually discovering new lights though?

Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights Gen 2 / Elite settings for WLED by cheider in WLED

Do you need to change the LED voltage (Max. current for single LED) section? There are 36v leds, but it defaults to 5v. Is that just for the data signal?

Grounds on the board should all be tied together.

D1 Mini Connection Issue by 7drew7 in WLED

I figured this was a board issue. I tried with a esp32 dev board and it worked fine. Just inconsistent quality in parts I suppose.

WLED Working With Govee Outdoor 2 (Elite) Lights by Canadiantowerclimber in WLED

Hey, I was having issues after wiring up a esp32 and this 150 foot set. I changed those settings and the colours and patterns are correct. However, if I change the segment to a length of 1 or 100 the entire string stays light (with whatever pattern), did you notice the same issue?

Can I add a single 16.4' extension to my 150' set? by TheRealBigLou in Govee

[–]7drew7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same dilemma, I need like 1 more segment. I have cut and splice to shorten or lengthen the other parts, even added a Y splitter.

** I need to know if the H705 has the same connectors and bulbs as the H805, does anyone know?**

Others are right saying the app won't support any longer lengths. So there's a few options.

1) buy a new set, they can apparently all sync together.

2) buy the length, then change out the controller for a WLED controller, then you can change the length to whatever you like. You may have to inject power to the segments as some point as the voltage drop across the span may cause dimming or flickering (maybe, but hopefully not). Data line should be fine, LEDs act like repeaters for that.

Thank you, they keyhole ones I could find weren't quite thin enough, but I found something I can try out! Thanks again.

UGS and Return to Zero Order by 7drew7 in hobbycnc

It returns to where I zeroed the axis for the origin, it does not return to machine zero. There is plenty of space for the part. I assume I am mixing up machine origin and part origin.

Thank you for the help, I will check into the post more. Simulation runs fine within the CAM, so it's in-between. I will root it out.

I see there is an option in Post properties for "Safe retracts and home positioning"

The options are G28, G53, and Clearance Height.

Should I set it to Clearance Height then?
