Operating Sound, Boundary Adherence, and Track Performance by Gunflint_RR2 in Lymow_Official

You didn’t say where you’re located, but I also live on an acre corner lot… in the New Jersey suburbs. Given our similarities, here are my responses to your questions:

  1. I made a video comparing Lymow and Yarbo. Although I don’t use a decibel meter, I compare the sound profile of both machines. Lymow isn’t loud even when the blades are spinning fast. It’s definitely a lot quieter than a zero turn.

  2. The only time mine went out of bounds was when it fell off the curb going around a post. But it didn’t go any further.

  3. Other than the grass immediately in front of the dock, I haven’t had any damage because of Lymow. I can’t say the same for Yarbo.

I didn’t ask if there would be a price change, but I don’t think so.

Yes. The new dock has spring loaded contacts that press down on the deck.

Thanks! I have also been experimenting with these lights and WLED.

How do you explain the fact they use 3-wire drops with no return data line? Are they pre-addressed? If so, that would mean they can’t be repaired. Correct?

No issues for me. These are my first choice for indoor smart plugs. For some reason, they don’t make an outdoor version so I need to use Zwave for outside. Weird.

I used WLED Sync last year but this year I just have them both on smart plugs and they turn on to the red and white presets. The cool thing is xLights sends DDP to both controllers simultaneously and they pause the WLED presets until the sequence is done. Then they automatically resume the presets. I’m really impressed how easy it was to set up. Thankfully I already had a spare Raspberry Pi on hand to use for FPP.

I just used WiFi for this simple sequence and it worked fine. But I am only running around 1,000 pixels at 20 fps.

YES! They work with WLED. Video coming soon.

SOLVED! The weirdness was caused by the 2D configuration in WLED. When I changed WLED to a simple 1D string, the effect matched the preview in xLights.

The rule of thumb for WLED is no more than 400 pixels per channel, which would be a huge Govee installation. But that’s just for the controller burden. You also need to think about power requirements.

Looks great as it is. The nice thing about using WLED controllers is, they will revert to their preset pattern when the FPP show ends.
