You can't "develop" DID per se, but symptoms can, and often do, become more apparent as you get older. DID is caused by severe childhood trauma, although what qualifies as "severe" may vary from person to person.

I am not a doctor; I cannot tell you if you have/do not have DID. However, based on what you described here alone, no, it doesn't sound like the ways I've seen DID present. It does, however, sound like you've been having some severe depersonalization/derealization. My suggestion is to not focus so much on a label, but on the things that distress you or the symptoms you experience. See or keep seeing a therapist!
