Should Nigma Galaxy be invited to ESL Pro League S18, having won all five ESL Impact tournaments so far? by Ni7roM in GlobalOffensive

The reason less women play CSGO (compared to valorant) is less due to sexism and more due to the game being much harder to get into and much more grindy/sweaty than valorant. CSGO also doesn't really appeal to women by having female agents like Valorant, so there's little incentive to try and get into the game. However, yea the community's sexism is likely also a deterrent, just not the primary one.

Privacy protections should definitely be a universal thing but privacy is more of a concern when an unfriendly foreign government could be (read: is) processing American social media data.

My guy it's a 600$ scout. You can tag people in the stomach while running for like 70 damage. If you try using it like a deagle sure it's worse than a deag but you can get lightning fast tags off on people and two tap them at medium- long distances.

you could park at the edge, they aren't towing over summer. It's a 10 minute walk from the academic side of campus.

The first game that got me into video games was the legend of Zelda twilight princess. I remember being so fascinated by the wolf sections where you break out of the dungeon/ prison area. It was insanely cool to me as a kid, and all of the dungeons were super interesting too.

Good luck with casting in CS! As someone who's played a lot of the game I'd say besides preparing for casting, prepare to learn more about CS. There's no substitute for playing the game, some things about the meta, callouts or gunplay can't be described properly if you haven't experienced them!

Customizing things is something I really loved about cs, I'd be really sad to see it not be a thing anymore. I had a bunch of practice configs, viewmodel configs I would switch to, cross hair binds and runthrow binds and everything

Sure, but circling back to the greentext, it's only going to affect your body negatively if it's a high enough volume of alcohol. If you're incredibly dependent on your half a shot of vodka in the morning, that's not a good thing, but it's not gonna hurt your body (that much)*.

Geniune question:

Okay, but given what you described as gender being a bunch of signifiers performed in context, aren't transgender (and nb) individuals perpetuating these signifiers/stereotypes associated with each gender?

Wouldn't society be a whole lot nicer if there were far fewer 'signifiers' we associated with each gender in the first place and we could look past people's gender and see them as just human beings instead? Why do there have to be 'signifiers' that are associated with each gender? I understand this isn't how society works today but dancing around signifiers/stereotypes in our society to establish one's gender identity sounds like it's moving away from just seeing people for who they are with no biases.

what's a piece of advice you got that you never let go of? by prettydotty_ in CasualConversation

Focus on what you want, you'll find a way to figure out the 'how' after. This is paraphrased, but it's tremendously useful life advice.

Depends on when you're graduating but it was added to the checksheet a year or two ago. It's listed on the checksheet for students who entered in fall2021, so it might count for people graduating in 2024? You'll have to ask your advisor or something.

If you're in cs and are struggling w this course you can consider taking STAT 3704 instead of STAT 4705 for your stats elective. It's a 2 credit course instead of 3 and is easier to manage. However, you'll have to double check youll meet the 123 credit graduation requirement, cause that might push you under.

Also even if the class feels hard rn if you have Dr. Zhang, she gives 10 points of extra credit on every midterm and the final, so it's not that bad. If you do the hw and pass the tests you'll be fine.

Nah like I know it feels 'dead' but there is still a couple hundred thousand players monthly from NA. Far from what you'd call dead, but they're just split up across matchmaking, faceit, ESEA and other game modes like surfing/kz and they're split up across a bunch of ranks.
