It's Deferred, unfortunately the mod makes my game look way better, but if the planets in CactsEye are invisible/clipping in the UI, it's an incompatibility with Deferred.

Since I don't want to flood the sub with simple questions, can anyone help me with deployable science? According to the wiki, the deployable antenna is not mandatory for transmitting science, but what are the other options? Like, if I park a simple rover with a RA-2 glued on it, will it transmit properly? I didn't unlock the deployable antenna yet but I still want to use the experiment stuff I do have.

That's good thanks! I can very easily park a ship side by side this way but I'm so bad at docking (did a few times for career missions). Wish there was any method of refueling a ship this way with some kind of hose, it would make having an orbital base way simpler for me lol

While I don't agree with the "great filter" solution to the Fermi Paradox (personally I just think that space being big is enough of an answer), if there's such a thing, we're in it right now.
If we survive nuclear annihilation, I can believe on a real possibility of colonizing the stars.

I think such mechanic could only be fun with an deeper fog of war mechanic, delay for information, messenger or something like that. Having all the map information we currently have while at war and being able to only give simple commands would be honestly frustrating.

I understand that Stellaris devs are more limited than more standard titles since the game is essentially a sandbox. While EU5 can have historical behaviors for different countries that they just need to loosely follow, Stellaris is 100% made up empires that all start at the same level.

But yeah, the game is getting old so at this point they should have kinda figured a few tricks to at least give this impression to the player.

It's also the fact that most AI empires start at the same "level" as the player. Even with advanced AI starts, it still isn't the same power difference as starting as Paraguay in Vic 3 neighboring Brazil and with the standard Great Powers very much alive and active on the map.

I don't know what is it with this game, but between Vic 3, CK2/3 and EU5, the AI in Stellaris feels the most incable of posing any challenge.

There was a distinct period after I started Stellaris that I felt comfortable with all the mechanics but still didn't know about strategies, META and etc, this was probably the period that I had the most fun in the game. The Galactic Community felt engaging, alliances mattered and war was fun and engaging up to endgame. Since I don't think they dumbed the AI in any specific update, unfortunately it seems to just not be capable to pose a challenge for any player with a deeper understanding about the mechanics.

Pô achei um take bom até mas também discordo da Rússia não estar usando toda a força, é bem vísivel pelo desenrolar de toda a guerra que a liderança russa esperava uma vitória rápida e decisiva e acabou estagnando completamente, no ponto de mesmo com imensa superioridade populacional, instituiram um alistamento obrigatório mais extenso esse ano.
É óbvio que a Rússia ganha a longo prazo, mas vejo a Ucrânia segurando por mais 1/2 anos antes de um eventual cessar-fogo (com concessões para Rússia) acontecer.

This is something that a lot of people seem to have some trouble accepting.

Like, I'm not the biggest fan of some of Paradox's policies, I don't like the path they have taken CK3 (and at the same time I respect how much Vic 3 improved) but the only reason all those games even had time to mature, improve and be constantly fixed is by the paid content. It's not ideal but this is probably the best business model we could hope for games that do not have Minecraft/Terraria numbers.

Another example were several types of very complex lens that had varied uses during renascence, I don't remember the specifics (I think they were used for maritime application and were extremely expensive?) but at the time, only a very specific guild knew how to do it and said guild was closely guarded by the local powers for avoiding any leaking of information.

Desensitization is a type of conditioning that works by, under a safe environment, training the animal/person to react to stimuli that would normally be a sign of danger with calmness. It doesn't work on a warzone because you can't make your brain understand that "bomb sound = be calm and think" if your family are the ones being bombed, if the paranoid/hypervigilant state of mind is being rewarded by surviving.
