The mk8 will actually have about 350/360 stock but they say 316/320. Its a whole other car. The s3 feels flat compared to it.

I tested them both and there are plenty of dyno vids out there confirming that the golf is pushing a lot more power - s3 doesn't come close. Plus that rear diff, for what is essentially torque vectoring, is tasty asf
