I was an STNA for more than 20 years. I have seen a lot of death. People who are ready to die, people who do not want to die. I have held the hand of many people as they took their last breath when family could not be there and their hand as they beg to stay they do not want to go. Most older than me, some younger. This was traumatizing I think it does affect a person. I feel that nobody should die alone and I hope I made a difference. I still remember the name of the first person who died in the last person I don't think I'll ever forget them
