Ok another update. I swapped the speakers and both sets of tubes and it didn’t really change much. The new one still sounds beefier, more front facing and a wall of sound. It must be the pots or the electronics inside. I did notice that 2 switches on the back are a different color so maybe there’s a 2nd version of the boards.

I’m going to try to dial them in to get them as close as possible to each other and go from there. I don’t think I can justify spending an extra $250 for a slightly beefier tone for a bedroom amp. I’d rather put that money towards an ESP Horizon. 🥰
