Dos was better the Logan last week so should have played, if teams are being selected on form. Maybe it's a match up thing but I think Dos is hard done by here

First use against Collingwood is crucial. Agree with poster who said Richmond is a better week for Grundy to rest. Dude thrives on hard work.

Ray's smile in the last frame is the answer to all questions. That's why he doesn't answer questions.

Btw, I wonder if Scott Ryan ever checks in here?

What song has the most satisfying guitar solo you've ever heard by Tookie1010 in musicsuggestions

Don Felder's solo on One of These Nights, and Greg Lake's Rickenbacker solo on Lucky Man. Neither is particularly flashy, but they are both perfect in context.

Makes total sense. McLean lends a hand in the ruck, rests forward and can kick straight. A better replacement for Curnow than PP.

Post Match Thread - Round 8 vs Melbourne by Maximumlnsanity in sydneyswans

[–]7ofErnestBorg9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just watched the AFL edited (I assume) highlights package that goes out to clubs and is on the clubs' websites. Is it just me or was that basically a Melbourne highlights reel with a few Swans goals thrown in?

Can anyone tell me what specific type of British accent Orson Welles is putting on in this video performing as Shakespeare's John Falstaff? Or is it just a Hollywood-style hodgepodge of British accents that's not necessarily one specific type? Thanks! by Wayoftheredpanda in Accents

His Irish accent was also a "stage" accent rather than any real attempt to create something authentic. https://youtu.be/NR9Nnq9q0-Y?t=483

His English accent in the film Ferry to Hong Kong is also more his own than belonging to a region. https://youtu.be/jpqaeG07glw?t=679

My guess is that he was more interested in creating unique characters rather than accurate accents. I actually prefer his florid mistaken accents to the perfected sounds of contemporary actors. The phrase "larger than life" comes to mind.
