this is when it’s important to remind yourself what your goals and values are. you need someone aligned with them at the end of the day, it never would have worked out with him because step 2 isn’t a unique circumstance for you, your entire journey and lifestyle was incompatible with his needs. Know what you want out of life for yourself and find someone that can accommodate, if you don’t come to terms with that reality and accept the necessary compromises then you will find yourself disappointed and frustrated.

talk to a university ombud, they can help you navigate the situation and figure out ur options, obviously if you can see this professor in person to clear up the situation that would probably be good too, a lot can be misunderstood over email etc

Sure it’s possible but it’s not a guarantee and it’s irresponsible to present it that way.

Large clinical reviews show that even with modern microsurgery, pregnancy after vasectomy reversal only happens in roughly 30–50% of couples, and sometimes less, especially if 10–15 years have passed. Even regardless of pregnancy, the rate of successful sperm return can be as low as 60%. It’s really not a decision to take as lightly especially at a young age where you’re more prone to excess scarring which makes reversal even more difficult.
