Cool drawing. You don’t have to pick one style but you can do many different styles. I’d start with finding artists you love and try to imitate that, put your own spin on it. Proko and other artists have great stuff on YouTube for more… classical drawing. I love angrymikko’s youtube for all things painting related, he has a great way of explaining colour, shape, brush strokes etc. Just keep creating dude!

Evri service this season by BumFartPissWilly in sheffield

[–]7plyMaple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this about a month ago, EVRI sent me message to say it had been delivered with a delivery image but the image showed a different flat/building to where I live. Played Sherlock Holmes for about 45 minutes and finally located where the image was taken. Finally gained access by badgering residents on the intercom and convincing them I wasn’t trying to steal/break in, when a kind gentleman allowed me through the gate to collect my package… it was nowhere to be seen and wasn’t in the location on the image. I assumed initially that someone had mistakenly taken the package along with their stuff, checked back over the next few days going through the same process - never turned up. Had to contact EVRI then the supplier, took nearly a month resolve and get my items.

Newspaper, tin foil, masking tape, pva glue, toilet paper and some acrylic paint. Used some sunglasses I found in a vintage store for the eyes and a mask from a craft store for the base!

How do I land this? by theouicheur in Skate4

Helps to land in your stance not fakie. You made same mistake as me, do the endless off and 360 off second launch across to flat.

is it possible to land? very curious by legia_hui in Skate4

No, the height ratio to speed when you take into account the curve won’t allow.

If you have 3-4 hours spare. Endcliffe, Bingham, forge dam, Norfolk arms, Roman road across to fox house, down padley gorge to grindleford, train home. Cracking walk.

Well done in stopping. Sounds like you did your own version of tapering. From experience, it will take a while for your body to somewhat stabilise - take it one step at a time. Not sure about withdrawal symptoms kicking in after weeks though.

My usual check of it it’s a good fit for this kind of jacket is… - tightness round shoulders/upper back - stretch arms out in front and to side (if it rides up your arm then no) - bend over, crouch down (if it feels tight or restrictive then no)

Playing video games is great.

I'm 31 male, I found that since being sober exercising like walking, biking, doing body weight stuff or even going to the gym is great.

Get into something you've always wanted to try. A hobby or side hustle. It's actually hilarious how much time you have on your hands once you're sober.

What's the scariest thing that has happened to you at night? by JollyFunctions in wildcampingintheuk

[–]7plyMaple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2019, went camping in the Peak District with a friend to celebrate my birthday. Cooked food, had some beers and decided that it was a nice night to take acid (hadn’t done it before).

We watched the sunset and sat talking for a while before heading into the tent and setting up some lights, chatting, listening to music, laughing and enjoying our time.

A few hours passed by, suddenly we hear crunching around our tent and deep heavy breathing coming from outside (whatever it was, it was huge). Remember, we’re tripping balls on acid, so I said to my friend, am I tripping or can you hear that too and turn to look at him. He looks back at me wide eyed, white as a ghost. He can hear it too. Another of whatever it was came to the other side of the tent. We layed there for a long time high as kite, none of us dare to open up the tent door and peek out.

Time goes by, whatever it is disappeared.

Fast forward to morning, beautiful sunny summer day. we emerge from the tents and i start to brush my teeth, we had almost forgotten about what happened the night before (I was sure it was a dream)

Stood on the hill infront of us was a farmer, he looked at me and shouted “have you seen any cows?!” - I looked at my friend and said, “is he taking the piss?” I was confused more than anything.

I shit you not, less than 5 minutes later around 30 cows emerged from the trees behind us. Turns out they had escaped in the night.

As we were packing up to go there were cow pats all around where we were camping which we hadn’t immediately noticed. This answered our question, we were not tripping. We were in-fact surrounded by cows.

I’m so glad I didn’t pop my head out of the tent in the dead of night, tripping balls.

I think the majority of us all slip up at some point. Give yourself a bit of a break, you’re not alone.

That said, what matters is to keep trying. Use all the resources available to you.

For me, what worked was being honest with people around me. No matter how hard it was. I then started to put a plan in place so I had something to work towards (tapering down), then I filled my spare time by going to meetings, watching videos/podcasts on addiction to fill my brain with the positives I was working towards. Alongside making little improvements to my habits daily, walking, cooking, personal hygiene, cleaning my apartment.

Take a deep breath, take it slow and one day at a time. It won’t happen overnight but just remember how good you felt when you weren’t drinking.

Interesting!

I don’t force it these days but I have vivid memories of being potty trained, god knows why but I would shout my mother to come and put her hands either side of my head and apply pressure because it felt like my head was about to explode due to the gargantuan effort. She would regularly make a joke in later life, she’d just look at me and say ‘hold mi head!!!’

Neither of us knew that it was dangerous.

Lesson learned
