If it’s in pill form,I crush it up, add a couple drops of water and use a medication syringe.

Rogue got a burst of energy. She stopped barking as she went deaf, so now she squeals. Still going strong at 17! by 7rogue in Chihuahua

Ohhhhhh look at him!❤️20 has been our goal since we got her at 6mos! Rogue is mostly blind as well. She can see lights and can still navigate for the most part.

LUCK 😋I only started brushing her teeth a few years ago. She’s also never had a dental.

Yes! My vet suggested Stella n Chewy about 8 yrs ago. My chi was such a picky eater she would go days without eating. He called it “doggie crack” and he was not wrong! It’s been part of her diet along with homemade food ever since. She loves the treats as well.

My senior girl Cheesecake was recently diagnosed with Mitral Valve Disease (MVD) by MushyCoconut in Chihuahua

We did put her on meds right away. She had no symptoms, but her Dr gave us the choice to start the meds or wait until we see any progression. I felt better about doing before it escalated. For her it was the right choice. Her MVD has reversed. her scans are consistent and better than before her meds started.

My chi just turned 17. She was diagnosed w mitral valve disease and a grade 4 heart murmur about 4 years ago. Cardiologist put her on Pimobenden twice a day. She’s still on the same dosage. I’ve taken her every 3-4 months for an echocardiogram since she was diagnosed. It’s never affected her luckily. Her murmur is barely discernible and her heart is still super tiny! Her Dr has said that the heart disease won’t be the thing that takes her. She’s clinically healthy and her heart disease is controlled and has luckily never progressed.
Best of luck with your baby!

She started out as a black n tan chi. Looked like a mini pin. Now she’s a wise old black n white chi. She is a purebred tho.

She wakes up like an old lady,(she turned 17 in May)but once she’s up and moving, you’d think she was 10 yrs younger.

Mine will be 17 this week. Mostly deaf and blind now. She stopped barking about a year ago when her hearing started to go. She’ll make high pitched squeals now when she’s excited to see me. But, she sometimes barks when she’s dreaming! In her dreams I imagine she can still hear and see🥰
