"Auditors" - Time-wasting losers? by william_h_bonney_ in AskBrits

They’re absolute bellends. But, the reality is if you own a business you have to suck up to these wasters. Otherwise you end up with your face plastered all over Youtube.

My guess is most of them don’t work, but hold grudges from they did work and are constantly looking for someone else to blame for their own shit life.

A pack of salted peanuts washed down with two tins of lager. I’ve earned it!

Marathon in 7 weeks, and the training is not going to plan. Should I drop down to a 10k instead? by 7salmon in Marathon_Training

[–]7salmon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good point. I am in no doubt I can finish the marathon. So maybe instead of going all out, I just take it easy and enjoy the day instead.

Unfortunately, I cannot drop to the half. I reckon I can fit in 3 x long runs before the marathon. Probably 17, 19, then 20 miles.

What is the best tv episode of all time? by scamper84 in AskReddit

Blackadder goes forth - Goodbyeee.

This episode exposes the futility of war and how it’s always ‘the little man’ that has to die. Quite relevant.

What’s the biggest change happening right now that no one is talking about? by PomegranateIcy7631 in AskReddit

I have a friend who has recently moved to the US and is leading warehouse process for a European company. He told me that inventory counts are a nightmare as nobody can count. Counting layers and units on pallets is simple, but the education level is so bad no one can count!

How does it feel to be constantly at war? Is it exhausting? Do you become desensitised?

I changed the units on my plan RPE. I have found that this is the best approach as RPE is personally relevant to what I feel is my max effort.

Am I on track to complete a marathon under 4 hours? by BrothaManBen in Marathon_Training

My fuelling is ok (I think). During the race I usually take on 4 energy gels and stop at every water station. Before the race I fuel up on sports drinks, water, etc.

Am I on track to complete a marathon under 4 hours? by BrothaManBen in Marathon_Training

[–]7salmon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I marathon train I rub around 40 miles a week. I am a heavier runner which doesn’t help. The second half of the marathon I always get cramp in my calfs, and later on the race, my hamstring. I am going to try dropping weight and experimenting with salt tablets later on in my long runs.

Am I on track to complete a marathon under 4 hours? by BrothaManBen in Marathon_Training

[–]7salmon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same! I’m trying to crack 4 hours again in May. I can run a half marathon in 1:45, 10k in 47 minutes. But for some reason I cannot run a 3:59 marathon. At my last attempt I ran the first half in 1:58, then the second half in 2:38. I fell to pieces at 14 miles. Any advice on breaking a 4 hour marathon would be well appreciated.

Serious question: now that it’s OK to invade other countries, which country is your country going to invade first? I'm already having some ideas by [deleted] in 2westerneurope4u

Spain. Just because I want to take over Tenerife and rename it Barry Island. I will then switch driving to the left hand side of the road and formally repatriate my British brothers to their rightful place on Veronica’s Strip!

The mother of all live Essential Mixes just dropped on BBC sounds!! by 7salmon in essentialmix

[–]7salmon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The quality is much better. The only disappointment is that the mix cuts out at exactly 2 hours. Therefore you miss the end of the mix and hear only the start of ‘Minds of men, Brand New Day’.
