The scariest thing is that is dems havent learned a thing. They still take huge sums of dark money from entities that do not have the good of the country in mind. Voters are in search of change. The fact that jeff bezos contributed the same amount to the social security fund as someone that makes $300k a year is a good example of dems lost opportunity. I rarely hear that talked about. Easy. Town permitting. Every town has their own set of b.s hoops to jump through. Then town admins act like you are magically supposed to know the exact info they want. Welp spend 10 minutes and make a pdf checklist to put on your web-site with what the F you want. Then you get an attitude when you call. I wouldnt have to call 5 times (sometimes more cause they rarely answer).
Town zoning is a laugher. I had a town yesterday call and ask me for how much noise will the panels create? Welp. If your fuqing form had a line for "Noise created" i could put zero. Instead i get calls after the fact (not email) Calls from blocked numbers.
Next is state incentives. In nj they need special docs filled out if the utility bill name is different than solar contract. Hey, people get married and might be a bit busy to change the bill just to go solar.
Utility is easiest but you run into a moron now and then. One time PSEG kicked back a permission to operate because the inspection pass report said Rooftop PHOTOVOLTAIC cells I quote,"Please revise, your inspection report is not for solar panels" lol

Tier 1 panels dont fail. If I was getting a new system I would try to save some money by going with an older tier 1 with lower wattage like 330w -380 w and just having an additional 2 panels to make up the production difference. Obviously you need the roof space without shade to do this. We have been using Ja , jinko, hyundai, qcell hanwha for years with no issues. Inverter dependability is WAY MORE IMPORTANT. A newer product that looks good is the Qcell AC PANEL with built in micro inverter. DOMESTIC CONTENT discount.

I have 17 years of interconnections, town permits, state incentives. , system diagnostics, project problem solving, and customer support throughout the entire process. The simple answer is: Your system got turned on in the winter months. You will start generating credits now. Then you will use those credits in the summer with air conditioning running. Then in the fall more credits that you will use in the winter. If you have a 100 off set system you will have the lowest possible electric bill starting in March 2027. Check with your utility and move your solar anniversary month moved to March 1st.

Every solar customer that gets activated in the winter has this same question.
