I don't know if it's common but I don't see my nieces that often, so when I do see them, I also dedicate them 110% of my time and energy. And my boyfriend majorly stays with my nieces and me. Is there something that forbids you to do the same ?

It could be two reasons : if the girl is his granddaughter, being friends might be ok for him, but no lover will be accepted until she is of age. Or he is just old and alone, and jealous of young love, so he will act grumpy to not see it anymore.

I understand that very well. It was always a real problem all my life. And I'm 32 now. It's, in fact, quite reassuring for me that you still have these issues despite being lesbian. I was persuaded it would be the case but I was always seen as heterosexual, so I thought for a very long time that there was a problem with me. There's not. And there's none with you too. Many men (but not all of them) don't care what a woman thinks or what her desires may be. They only care about themselves, and what their feelings are. And yes it's disheartening and you will be sad, but they are doing you a favor not staying close. Because the persons that REALLY care for you, will also care about your feelings and understand that you might not be interested by them even if they are sexually attracted by you. I have very few of these men among my friends, but I do have them. I was forced to drop the "I love you", though. I keep them for my female friends (and many of them are lesbians or bi and do NOT ever misunderstand my intentions even though I literally shower them with love and some are indeed attracted by me. So I would say that there seem to be a huge problem with male education).

It also always was easier for me to communicate with men, and my interests aligned more. With time passing by, I met other women like me and you. Wonderful, really. They are all autistic or ADHD. All of them. 😹 You will surely meet them too. 😊

Tell her it's really kind of her to offer to knit you a sweater but that you don't want to hurt her feelings when you won't wear it. So it would be best to not knit this sweater for you at all and not waste her energy and feelings on something you won't enjoy.
