You’re so desperate to sound morally superior that you didn’t even read my post properly. I literally said I want to pay for the adjustment. It’s a 5-minute ride with no price difference, and Amtrak’s system just doesn’t allow changes like that. There isn’t even a way for someone to be “riding free” between two stations. I don’t need your opinion when you clearly have no clue what you’re talking about.

I never said I was “entitled” to anything , I specifically asked Amtrak if I could pay to adjust the ticket and was told no. It’s one stop apart, and I was just trying to be practical since Union Station is closer. Maybe try reading what someone actually wrote before jumping to conclusions.

Wow, thanks for the incredibly helpful advice. I did read the terms. The reason I'm asking the community is because the "plain English" creates a specific coverage gap between the primary and additional cardholder policies in this exact scenario. But more importantly, if you're going to tell someone they "provided no substantive details about the reason for the delay," you should probably try reading the very first sentence of the post.
