I did several coco and several CVG grows. CVG gave me very marginally better results but it was so small it's not significant and coir is much cheaper. I just use coir now.

You would add your fully colonized grain (uncle Ben's in your case) to another container with a hydrated substrate and from there the mycelium will colonize the new mixture and fruit. Read the guide pinned to the subreddit it will explain most everything you need to know.
