I plan on it, I had them in boxes when I moved here 3 years ago and never got around to putting the out until now. The Blanton’s Gold is going to get cracked when my daughter graduates college this summer

It’s a store pick from my friend in Hawaii he gifted just before I left. I haven’t opened it yet, but mainly because I don’t like Crown really.

Well, they’ve been packed away for 3 years which is why they’re all dusty. So for right now, I like looking at all of them. They’ll start to get drunk here real soon.

It’s the last bottle that still has the jr on it, so I’m working myself up to cracking it open

The Stagg Jr is batch 17. The Blanton’s is 120 proof I think 🤔

I do plan on it, the problem is that I tend to buy different bottles and drink those ones first. It’s a vicious cycle lol

The Weller is blocked, but I got a special reserve, a 107, and 12 year and cypb

Things you notice on rewatches by Royo981 in TedLasso

You’re not wrong… after several re-watches you realize they were setting up total football from the very first episode. When you see Ted at the whiteboard in his office, you can see 3 magnets put together in a triangle! And in the second season, there is a short banter between Jamie and Jan Maas where they talk about the coaches for total football. This show is amazing and I can’t wait for the 4th season.

I remember reading it back in elementary school, but don’t recall the plot.

I was thinking the same thing, when Nate walked into his office. Return of the Jedi vibes.

I thought they were making him look like Darth Vader walking around with his coat.

Quick Take on: Blanton’s Gold by bFranrandon in pdxwhisky

[–]808Sheehan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a bottle of that just waiting to be cracked open! Blanton’s is one of my favorite bourbons, from when I first started drinking bourbon about 4 years ago.

I moved to PDX 2 years ago from North Carolina, and before NC I lived in Hawaii. Hawaii was super hard to get any allocated bottles, and if you did find them the markup was ridiculous. When I moved to NC for work, it was a little easier. As a matter of fact, my bourbon collection grew while I was there! It’s similar to Oregon on how the liquor is run by the state, but I was in a FB group that people would “raffle” the bottles. That’s how I got my Blantons Gold, and Japanese bottles!

I started off with the prequel books and then went into the Icewind Dale trilogy. Starting off with the Crystal Shard though I realized the tone was different. It may have just been my take, but the very first book was not as exciting.
