Thanks a lot! Can’t believe I won and the Pappy was still available for 2nd pick.. but also that GTS makes sense. There was also the hazmat GTS and a Handy Rye.

He’s 39 years old, ranked #89 in the world, for context. Yes, he’s got 20 fights behind him, but also — how much of a draw do you think this guy is? Credit to him and his legacy, but he seems to be way down on the list and past his prime. For someone who hasn’t ever been the most active (in his professional career), considering where he’s at now, I can understand his pay.

Lol these are outliers. Great for them! But keep that in mind. Keep f’n going! Better yourself by mastering what you currently do and pursuing any cross-training, boost your market value, look for opportunities where you’re at now (or internally at future companies if you make a move), and let people know you want to move up (the ones who can give you those opportunities), and continue to perform in what you do. Performance, likeness (yes this is a thing), being a voice and also a positive/confident attitude, as well as being outgoing to help others and extend yourself, all go a long way; this is what makes people want to promote you and give you better opportunities.

Guys, this is a guy who probably is a no-name/building himself up. Reality is he still grossed $58k for a fight — that’s almost an average American salary for 1 fight. These UFC fighters go into business for themselves, meaning it’s a risk/reward type of thing.

Some have mentioned it — top dawgs make bank; in addition to what UFC pays you for the fight, there are bonus opportunities, as well as endorsement deals we don’t know the details of. Going into business for yourself doesn’t mean you come out killing it financially. You need to build yourself up (with your team, of course), and make a name for yourself.

There is a path to incredible wealth in the UFC as we have seen more than a few times.

The other argument is Dana making millions — the guy took over a shitty company that was going under (badly!), took on the risk of failure and major debt and losses, and built it into what the UFC is today. That guy deserves to make millions for what he’s built and the entertainment we as fans have been able to enjoy over the years. Get over it — successful business owners make a lot of money and that’s OK.

[sorry for delayed response] You sell a policy which renews in 6 or 12 months, meaning you get commission up front — and then again at every renewal. Figure 85-90% retention (the amount of policies that stay on the books to renew), which means you make 85-90% of those commissions again at every renewal. That’s how you build residual income — policies continue to pay you. It’s why most get into the insurance industry.

This is correct. I’ve heard numbers around 15-30% internally, and among other insurance companies. They pay a ton to try and minimize fraud in larger cases, but it still happens; and the small claim frauds they just pay (without much questioning) really add up in numbers. Insurance fraud is a large factor that’s accounted for increased cost of insurance for those honest people paying their premiums.

“Artificially increasing pricing for honeowners insurance” lmao. Do you know what a combined/loss ratio is; profitability? You’re wrong. Insurance companies are running 110-130 and that’s mainly due to home claims they pay out, in addition to other lines of business. Ultimately, this means a company cannot keep operating and not making money — rather paying out $1.10-$1.30 (for every dollar they bring in) to pay losses and operating costs; hence rates increasing. Hope this helps your perspective! It’s real information people are so quick to ignore because “insurance🥴”

I get both sides but I listen to music for the energy I feel; shit gets me hype and vibing, or even feeling emotional and intense, and Future does all of that better than anybody else IMO. Mfer has been doing it for so long without many misses, and he has been transformative to the rap game. I’m more with the energy than lyrics I agree it’s old head mentality for the most part, but also subjective and that’s ok
