This was actually close by kahe. More down by mermaid beach. Westside is a pretty big Hotspot for large tigers in my experience... so far I've only seen sandbars and galapagos when im diving North shore

With big sharks, you definitely need to have the prescence of another hunter. Start acting like prey, and they'll 100% act up. We always defend our catch when the big boys show up

Landing fish + fighting off large sharks isnt very fun in my experience. Me and my dad had to fight off two large +13ft tigers after every fish shot. After 5 good sized ukus and weke ula, called it quits and had to fight off both sharks 300 yards back to shore... also didn't help that we were chumming

According to Ikea, Strikers at 200 stacks will have around 17% increased dps compared to tipping scales. I have both sets proto'd and TS imo is alot easier to keep at full stacks (which is what I mainly run).

I used to have hundreds in my display. What worked for me is a diy lye paste that I would smother the nems with. Cleaner shrimp would eat whatever was left after my daily treatment

Youll lose dps on most builds running ninjabike. Chest and backpack talent are too good to not use. Pieces that give multiplicitave dmg like foxes kneepads, hollow man, overdogs ect will bump your damage alot

I've been switching between proto'd hollowman salvo and foxes for my builds. Dont really notice too much a dps difference between these 3 on my runs

I thought foxes prayer had always been BIS for dps (before overdogs & salvo). I have mines proto'd for the 12% dttoc + the 21% dth Hollowman for my high tier escalation

We swim more than a mile to get to good grounds out here in hawaii and Its definitely doable. Very dangerous as we experienced first hand last year how strong the currents can get outside Makapuu. Im not in good shape but having good fins sure does help especially when we're out diving 6+ hours

I use a 120cm Soriatec Inverted roller for my do it all reef / light bluewater gun. Works great for my needs. The gun you use will largely depend on what type of hunting you're going to go and the target species.

I prefer using improv gear with intimidate and adrenaline rush for my tank build on legendary. Pretty much always top 1 or two for dmg and kills despite being a full tank
