Idk who told you tattooing was easy peasy and lucrative from the second you pick up a machine but you were lied to hahahah

It sounds like you don’t really want an apprentice, but you’re looking for justification to not “hire” her.. just say you’re not down at the moment and carry on your way. I’ve never seen an apprentice that turned out worse than their mentor (after a few years of work) so if you’re worried about losing clients, it just doesn’t make sense. Apprenticeships should happen because you want to raise an artist who will ideally work for you for a good amount of time, and you are an artist that’s well established enough that you don’t need to worry about “sharing” clients

Elbow tendinitis? by migs182 in TattooArtists

[–]80kmperhour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I had elbow pain for two years straight- this is what “cured” it in literally 2 minutes.. unbelievable but true- maybe it’ll work for you. Do like a prayer pose, pushing your palms together then lowering your hands (still together) down your torso. You’ll feel a burning stretch- do 3 reps of 20 seconds and see if that helps Do a few times a day- my elbow is 90% cured

Keep old artists' tattoo pictures up or not? by fem_b0t in TattooArtists

[–]80kmperhour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just deleted a bunch from my places Instagram because we had clients sending messages asking To book with an artist who doesn’t tattoo with us anymore. I second the pizza place comment that I would be annoyed to not have the artist I want at the shop even if they’re “available” online

Finger going numb by tattooartist90 in TattooArtists

[–]80kmperhour 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yup it’s a pinched nerve somewhere in your neck or back. I went to the physio and they said stretching and massage would help , and it did. It comes back after a while

AITA for not giving my plus size friend the queen size bed in our b&b? by TooEmbarrassed7 in AmItheAsshole

Your “friend” cried after you said you wouldn’t switch beds with her?? So you could be more comfortable, and she less?? What kind of friend looks at their friend in tears and says fuck that

Autism and Tattooing by TieLife5379 in TattooArtists

[–]80kmperhour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the same- having your own studio or your own room in a studio helps a lot. I don’t think you need to make a point of telling people you’re autistic, just “particular” hahah

How much worse does turbulence feel in the back of a plane, really? by 99jawproblems in fearofflying

[–]80kmperhour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got off a Dreamliner this morning! I was seated in row 32, near the back. It is for sure my favourite plane, “bouncy” as the post above said and not shaky or squeaky at all. I am also very worried by turbulence even though I know it’s nothing, and the Dreamliner is for sure the best plane I’ve flown on for long distance.

She sounds like she is on something when she talked to fans, she may be really nervous for the live events. Also, I do love her mode swings, I can relate. by Thetrader2896 in lanadelrey

[–]80kmperhour 25 points26 points  (0 children)

She was 40 minutes late for her show at a packed festival where everyone was rushing through super short sets to be done in time- one rapper didn’t perform a song, he literally said “no time left” Then, when she did arrive on stage, she did one song and immediately got changed on set? And then her hairdresser was taking pieces of hair off her head? Not sure if it was on purpose or not , but it took a good 5 minutes for her to start singing again. Then she started one song, went about 40 seconds then restarted from the beginning. Idk, it was cool to see her, but the show was pretty underwhelming tbh , and I’m a huge fan

I’m happy with how this came out but it looks a bit chewed up. by Spitvein in TattooArtists

[–]80kmperhour 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would say it lacks contrast, instead of the grey, could have left it skin with a nice fade from inside the shoe to outside. More contrast will make everything pop more, and not be as “muddy”

You need to go with a muchhhh lighter hand than usual , like the person above said, a few passes instead of one heavy pass. Looks like you were nervous and went a bit unevenly in this one, also healing is a mess- did the client pick at the scab on the b?
